Orlandos Best Dining Experience the California Grill at Walt Disney World in Orlando

The California Grill is a very unique dining experience. The food is awesome and it does come with the price tag. It’s located on the top floor of the venerable Contemporary Resort which is the best place to stay if you stay on Disney property, depending upon your budget. It’s a five star hotel on a lake and is the best located lodging on Disney property for transportation through out the Walt Disney World Resort. There are very few Walt Disney World Resort lodging options located on the monorail system and the Contemporary Resort is one of them.

The California Grill is what I would call new American cuisine.  From GREAT sushi to a fabulous steak and they even offer a kids menu. Although this is atypical for a high end restaurant Disney is a family resort and because of the entertainment aspect of seeing the Disney fireworks at, from in my perspective, the best place to see those incredible Disney fireworks. So depending on season you can expect there will be plenty of kids in the restaurant

It is also the most popular restaurant on Disney property because of all the forementioned reasons it’s typically booked far in advance. So if you want to try this entertainment and dining experience book far ahead even in slow seasons.

Should your budget not include this fabulous experience I invite you to visit our dinner show web site

Spending New Years Eve in Orlando? Insider Tips on Where to Go!

You have so many options on how to spend your New Years Eve in Orlando from the ultra high end California Grill at the Contemporary Resort inside the Walt Disney World Resort to being in one of Orlando’s many theme parks to ring in the New Year. Be advised the theme parks will be packed and for the most part you won’t be able to toast the New Year.

City Walk at Universal Orlando is another option but again it won’t come cheap. Downtown Disney will be over run with tourists with children and has many dining options. So if you have young children this might be a good choice for you especially if you don’t want to stick around untill midnight. be sure and make dining reservations either way unless you’re good with fast food on New Years Eve.

All of the dinner Shows including Capone’s Dinner & Show offer some kind of New Years Eve parties. Capone’s offers two shows an early bird show which all discounts are accepted or at our New Years Eve Gala. The Gala includes so much for a very reasonable cost check out to find out more. Better start planning now though if you haven’t made plans already.

Orlando Tourists Best Bet For Nightclubing

Disney has withdrawn from the market closing it’s nightclubs instead adding shopping and restaurants in the former nightclub hot spot Pleasure Island. The lack of synergy between nightclubing and Disney’s large family audience  and also experiencing some problems with gang activity which lead to crime. Sorry to see it go but it’s closing helped Orlando’s other two major nighclub areas thrive and jive at City Walk at Universal Orlando or downtown Orlando.

Visiting City Walk is definitly more expensive and family friendly then the edgy downtown Orlando nightclub district. So unless you’ve got kids going with you my recomendation is the downtown Orlando night club district. Hip restaurants and lounges dot a 5 or 6 block area along with many swank nightclubs. A new movie venue has recently opened in the district. The cinema offers unique food and beverage choices in tune with the surrounding district.

The shopping choices are much more divergent downtown you can get a tatoo, discover a new artist but there are no typical tourist souvenir shops that’s for sure!
