If you are planning to visit the colorful and creative International Flower and Garden Festival at Disney’s Epcot, time is running out. This special event is only running through May 16th.  You don’t have to be a gardening enthusiast to appreciate this event; it is an amazing display even for those like me whose thumb tends to be less ‘green’ than I’d prefer.  This special event features live music and educational events along with beautiful and colorful displays of flowers, gardens, and amazing topiaries.  Admission to the Festival is included with regular Epcot admission.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings during the festival, finish the day off with music at the America Gardens Theatre where you can enjoy tunes from the 1960s and 1970s during the Flower Power Concert Series.  Of course, you can also meet top horticulturalists during the event and learn helpful gardening tips to help you work on that ‘green thumb.’  You can even learn advanced gardening techniques from around the world in one of the public demonstrations.  You will also find plenty of gardening tools and products to help you create some beauty of your own.  Make sure to visit Fawns’ Butterfly House where you can get up close to hundreds of colorful butterflies.  Your young explorers will also enjoy the Pixie Hollow Fairy Garden.  Check out the 2010 Flower and Garden Festival Guide for more details.

Until this festival returns again next year, how will your garden grow? With silver bells and cockle shells and pretty maids all in a row?
