Going out to an Orlando attraction for a Halloween event is a lot of fun, however, most attractions can be expensive. While there are many Florida resident specials and passes, nothing beats getting to go for free! This month a smaller attraction in Kissimmee is offering scare zones, live entertainment and costume contests every weekend (and on Halloween night), and admission will cost you absolutely nothing!
Old Town USA has brought back their Festival of Fright nights. The event features four haunt zones:
- Monster Mayhem
- Area 51
- Legends: A Haunting at Old Town (ticket required)
This Friday and Saturday night will be the final weekend, so make sure you load up the kids and head to Old Town to enjoy a Halloween event with food, frights, rides and more. On Saturday, your child can enter the costume contest at 7:30 p.m., and the grown-ups can enter their own contest at 10:00 p.m. What a great way to be able to use your costume for more than one night! On Halloween night, your child can safely trick or treat throughout the venue.
There are a few restrictions, primarily concerning what you can and cannot bring into Old Town. You may also be required to remove any mask when entering the stores to shop. For more information about this Halloween event or Central Florida attraction, call 407-396-4888 or visit www.myoldtownusa.com.
After your visit to Old Town USA, head east on Highway 192 and stop by Capone’s Dinner & Show. If you are looking for an inexpensive costume, check out their gangster wear! Capone’s gift shop carries cheap fedora hats, Tommy Guns, feathered boas and flapper headbands which are great accessories to your prohibition era costume. They also will be giving away cash prizes to costume winners on Halloween night!
