In the Mood for Mediterranean?

Here is an easy lunch idea for when you’re in the mood for Mediterranean cuisine. Try Anatolia Mediterranean Cuisine in the Dr. Phillips area. According to Orlando Magazine, this fairly new Orlando restaurant is one of the best restaurants to open its doors in Orlando last year. They have also won a “My City Eats” award for the Best Mediterranean Cuisine of 2010.

Their chef has over 40 years in the business and specializes in Salads, Shwarma, Kebab and Gyros. Try an appetizer like hummus ($6) or baba ganush ($6.50). Entrees such as char-grilled salmon ($12) or chicken kebob ($9) are great for lunch or dinner. Complete your lunch with a dessert selection like baklava ($6.50) or sultac ($5). They have a nice selection of wine to choose from as well.

Anatolia Mediterranean opens at 11 a.m. and claims to “stay until the last person leaves” seven days a week. Sit inside or outside on their patio. They are located at 7600 Doctor Phillips Blvd., Orlando FL 32819. Their phone number is 407-352-6766.
