STK Orlando – Signature Dining in Disney Springs

As promised, STK Orlando is “just as much about the night out as it is about the food.” (Jonathan Segal, CEO of The One Group) Make no mistake, however, the food is exceptional. Now open in the Landing section of Disney Springs, the STK Orlando steakhouse changes your mind about what a steakhouse is.

The STK Orlando joins locations in Atlanta, Miami Beach, Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, Washington, D.C., London, Ibiza and Milan. Roll outs are planned for Denver, Dallas and Austin as well. By the end of this year, there will be 16 STK locations. The Orlando location is a 14,000-square-foot space with two floors including rooftop dining. Complete with several bars and a DJ, you’ll want to spend a full evening there.

STK Orlando Signature Dining

If you want an upscale dining experience, STK Orlando will deliver. The downstairs area features striking clean lines with white chairs and linens, dark contrasts and accent pieces and lighting that are very stunning. The upstairs indoor dining room may feel a little more relaxed, yet the setting is still very upscale with exceptional service. The patio dining (with a fire pit) offers a nice “urban” view of the newly vamped Disney Springs community. For dinner with a lot of conversation, either plan an early dinner or request upstairs seating. As the evening progresses, the downstairs area livens up with dancing and loud music. Your preference isn’t guaranteed with your reservation, but the staff will do their best.

STK Orlando Signature Dining

STK Orlando Menu

STK SteakBeing a steakhouse, STK Orlando doesn’t disappoint when it comes to delicious steaks. Other items on the menu including seafood, sandwiches and salads. Be prepared to order your complete meal at the start (except dessert). Choose your appetizer, main dish, sides and even cocktails to keep the meal progressing as only a signature restaurant can. The prices are high (easy to spend over $60 per person for dinner), but compared to other high-end steakhouses, they are in line. Feel free to split the “large” listings as you’ll have plenty to eat. Several sauces are also offered with your steak, and are fun to experiment with ($2 ea.), however, your steak will be flavorful without.

Side dishes are served family-style. Try their signature dishes. You won’t be disappointed. Dessert is also spectacular with several ice cream dishes, cake and cookie a-la-mode to choose from. If you are looking to split a dessert, try the Caramelia Layer Cake. STK also offers a kids menu and an extensive drink menu.

The entire family will love this dining attraction experience!

Wine Tastings & Festivals

It seems wine tastings and festivals are in full swing in Central Florida. From wineries to restaurants to bars, there are plenty of opportunities to sample a variety of vino. While many wine shops hold weekly wine tastings, there are a couple of larger events taking place in the next few weeks.

On Friday, June 3, just up the road from Capone’s Dinner & Show will be the Rombauer Vineyards Perfect Pairings Dinner at the Orlando Gaylord Palms Hotel and Convention Center. Selections of the finest wines from the Rombauer Vineyards in San Francisco, CA will be featured. This is just the half of it for this event. For $85 per person, you will also be treated to an exclusive dinner featuring recipes from Irma Rombauer’s “Joy of Cooking” cookbook. The event takes place at the Old Hickory Steakhouse at the Gaylord Palms Resort. This restaurant is a world-renowned steakhouse and has been awarded honors for its wine selections. This event is sure to be a show of fine wine and dining. You may purchase tickets at localwineevents.com.

Grape stomping event at Lakeridge WineryPerhaps you’re looking for more of a family fun-type wine event. If so, you’ll want to head over to the Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards in Clermont from June 17 – 19. This is when their flagship festival will take place with the ever popular event of stomping the grapes. Even the young ones are allowed to participate, making it fun for everyone. During this 3-day event you can view over 80 local arts and crafts booth. Live music will also be performed. There will of course, be wine tastings, as well as beer, soft drinks and food available for purchase. Be sure to go on a tour while you’re there. All of this for only a $2 donation (benefiting Hospice Foundation).

As summer nears, wine connoisseurs can get their fill by watching television too! The “Summer of Wine” broadcast on Central Florida News 13 will host Vino Vino’s Elliott Wiser as local wine bars are covered in Orlando and Tampa. Showcasing their wine list specialties will be The Funky Monkey, Press 101, Vines, Beaune’s, Park Square Cellar and Cafe Ponte. Tune into channel 300 and enjoy!

Finally, if wine isn’t your drink of choice, this Wednesday you can head over to Satellite Beach and take part in ABC Fine Wine and Spirits’ Craft Beer Tasting. There will be over 60 craft beers from around the world to taste and the cost is only $10. This fee also includes a coupon good for that night and a souvenir beer glass. For more information call 321-779-4490.

Whatever your drink selection may consist of, Capone’s Dinner & Show would like to remind everyone to designate a driver that will NOT be drinking if you plan to attend any of these events or our dinner show.  Our guests often return to our dinner theater over and over, and that is because they drink responsibly. Enjoy the finer wines and have a great summer!
