Halloween at Capone’s = An Original Outfit

Certainly, attending a dinner show is often thought of as a festive occasion. It isn’t something you do every night. And like any other festive occasion, the right clothes are very important. Capone’s Dinner & Show encourages people to ‘play-the-part’ and wear the ultimate “original outfit” – an outfit that fits the prohibition era. After all, we KNOW about outfits! Guests that dress up have more fun. Period. The original outfit is indeed a ritual for Halloween. It is also a ritual for many attending Capone’s any time of the year.

For example, here are just a few of the photos from guests dressing the part (photos submitted on Facebook):

Most importantly, wearing a costume allows people to let go of their inhibitions. Year-round Halloween at Capone’s does the same thing. Be that gangster or flapper girl and have fun pretending to be someone else. Moreover, wearing a costume can be extremely liberating! For some couples, it certainly offers a perfect time for romance. Need an excuse for a date night? Make reservations at Capone’s and come dressed for the occasion. Your girl will love that bad-boy gangster, and your guy will love that sexy kitten with the feather boa. It’s great for a date!

On October 31st, every adult guest receives a special gift and kids get a gangster hat to wear. However, every night of the year the gangster give-away hands out numerous prizes. Guests feel like it is trick-or-treating every night of the year. Some win the treat, and some do not. What is the trick to winning a prize? Attend the show and discover it for yourself.

Have a Historic Halloween

Halloween goes back to an ancient Celtic custom. The tradition of Halloween came to the United States in 1840, with the arrival of a group of Irish immigrants. From there it slowly evolved into our modern-day version. The history of Halloween is quite interesting, and you may want to read all about it (click the link).

Dessert Party Adds Special Flavor to Disney Event

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Most people love desserts. If not, then how about VIP treatment? The newly planned Villains’ Sinister Soiree scheduled during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party flavors and favors those willing to pay for the additional theme park ticket.

The soiree takes place within the halls of Cinderella’s Royal Table. Guests indulge in desserts and specialty non-alcoholic drinks. The cost? $99 per person! At first, this seems extravagant, especially knowing that you’ll also need to purchase a ticket to the Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom theme park. Tickets range from $57 to $71 depending upon what date you attend. Tickets on October 31 are already sold out. The party is from 7:00pm to midnight. Want to spend the entire day at Disney? You’ll need yet another ticket or pass.

The special event is only offered on 26 select nights, September through the end of October. Usually attracting children, the special dessert party is sure to appeal to parents/adults as well. Primarily because it offers preferred viewing for the 8:15pm “Boo-too-You” Halloween Parade and the “Happy HallowWishes” fireworks show. For many adults, this is a huge advantage, especially at the end of a long day, or the beginning of a special evening. The kids will love it, because it allows them to meet some of the “wicked” characters not often encountered at a Disney theme park. Characters include (subject to change):

  • Cruella de Vil
  • Captain Hook
  • The Evil Queen
  • Dr. Facilier
  • Frollo
  • Lady Tremaine
  • Maleficent
  • Queen of Hearts

Not only will you end the evening with a content sweet tooth, you will also receive a special autograph card and souvenir Maleficent dragon cup.  Live music, including numbers by Lady Tremaine (the wicked stepmother from Cinderella) will also add to a memorable time. Dessert, music, villians, souvenirs and VIP treatment – all included in this special event theme park ticket.

All in all, this party offers a great way to remember your day at Disney. It does come at a rather steep price, but for some families wanting to make the day longer and special, the price doesn’t seem so scary. One bite into those decadent desserts, and no villian will be able to scare you away.
