Consistent Service at Capone’s – Meet Vito: Featured Wise Guy

Guest Service Spotlight

There’s nothin’ like visitin’ a restaurant or some speakeasy knowin’ yous gonna receive consistent service. One of the goals at Capone’s Dinner Show is that each guest receives excellent service each time theys visit. That’s why havin’ a pal like Vito ‘round is so important. Yous sees all the dames, servers and wise guys at my speakeasy are special, but this month’s featured ‘pal’ is Vito. He’s been ‘round awhile and delivers consistent service to all my guests.

Meet Vito - Wise Guy (server) at Capone's Dinner & Show

Our guests ‘fall’ for Vito & his excellent, consistent service.

Vito made his way down from New York several years ago. In fact, over 10 years ago he fell into our gang. He falls alot, but more about that later… Vito is an Italian name that is derived from the Latin word “vita,” meaning “life” or “life-giving” which is very fitting. This family name was passed down to Vito from his uncle. What good Italian family doesn’t have a Vito?!

Vito is full of life and loves meeting new people at our Orlando dinner show. He enjoys servin’ guests and hearin’ ‘bout their stories. Sometimes he’s so engrossed with his guests he forgets where he is! That’s okay most of the time, but when it causes him to fall off the stage, it can be a real problem. Yous see, I’m all ‘bout takin’ care of the family, howevers, I ain’t much for workmans comp! These wise guys jus’ need to stay on stage or off of it. Course, when yous up there and all those pretty dancers are puttin’ on a show, it’s easy to fall for them gals. Yous know what I mean?

Consistent Service at Capone’s

Vito knows many repeat offenders – those folks that return to our joint again and again. Yous knows the ones. They have all the answers and know exactly how to get the best seats (either by making their reservations far in advance or bein’ VIP guests).  They’s even been known to call in their reservations and ask to sit in his section! These repeat offenders also bring their cheap souvenirs and wear ‘em over and over again. They’re some of our most beloved guests!

Other palookas that come to my speakeasy for the first time are thrilled to have Vito as their server ‘cuz they get consistent service which encourages them to visit again. All of my wait staff will keep your drinks filled, table clean and make sure yous don’t go yappin’ your jaw with Detective Marvel. After all, we’re all here to meet with Vito’s favorite “Italian Opera Lovers Society,” right?

How to Meet Vito & Get ‘Free’ Dinner Show Tickets!

If you’d like to meet Vito, or any of my wise guys and gals here at Capone’s Dinner & Show, yous can do so with ‘free’ dinner show tickets. Jus’ make your reservations online. All tickets purchased online are half price – it’s like buying one and getting one free, but better ‘cuz everyone gets discounted dinner show tickets! Make Reservations

Or better yet, get front row seats and catch him! So’s what’s keepin’ yous from visitin’? Come see my cabaret show, have dinner and spend some time with Vito’s family.

Love Audience Interaction? Meet Bullitts: Featured Wise Guy

Guest Service Spotlight

Most of my guests are lookin’ for a fun time and audience interaction when they attend Capone’s Dinner Show. So’s that’s why havin’ palookas… I mean personable fellas, workin’ at my joint is so important. Yous sees all the dames, servers and wise guys at my speakeasy are special, but this month’s featured ‘goon’ is Bullitts. (Don’t ask me why he spells it that way, it’s just the way it is.)

Meet Bullitts, he offers plenty of audience interaction at Capone's Dinner & Show

Bullitts made his way down from Pawtucket, RI several years ago. In February of 2004 he joined our gang and has been a loyal member of ‘the family’ ever since. Probably ‘cuz he needs the kale to feed his ever-growing family. Yous sees Bullitts has seven children – hince the name, Bullitts. Yous can believe we’ve heard him say, “no ‘shooting blanks’ jokes, folks” more often than we can count! Even at home, Bullitts has an audience, so it jus’ stands to reason why he’s so good at gettin’ a crowd involved. One thing’s for sure, all those mouths to feed keeps Bullitts on his toes and workin’ hard at my joint.

One of the things Bullitts likes best ‘bout working at this Kissimmee dinner show is the atmosphere. He loves interacting with guests and being a goofball. There’s nothin’ like a goofy gangster runnin’ ‘round makin’ people laugh. Speakin’ of runnin’ ‘round… There was a time Bullitts’ hands were full of glassware and his belt decided to break. Wow! What a show! Even with his pants fallin’ down – stopping the show in laughter – Bullitts didn’t skip a beat. What a pal!

Audience Interaction at Capone’s

At Capone’s Dinner & Show, one of our guests’ favorite part is the audience interaction. We can get everyone involved somehow. Even the kids. Then there are some people that jus’ love to heckle. If you’s one of ‘em, Bullitts can out-heckle the best of hecklers! I’d bet on it, if I were a gamblin’ man. Alternately, if you’d rather not get so involved, ask for a table farther away from the action when yous make your reservation. We understand not everyone loves being in the spotlight like Bullitts does. He likes it so much that he wishes we had more than one show a day! Yous know what? Some days we do have two shows! Visit our showtimes page and see when matinees, early shows and late shows take place. More than likely Bullitts will be here waitin’ on yous.

As it is (unfortunately), there are times our guests take the audience interaction a little too personal. Our wise guys are pretty quick to pick up on the high-hats that can’t take a joke. But seriously folks, if Bullitts can joke with a lady in a wheelchair tellin’ her he’s going to switch out her oxygen tank with laughing gas, then yous can lighten up too, capisce?! It’s not like we’re going to put yous in front of the chopper squad if yous smile a little. Forget-about-it…We’re here to have fun!

How to Meet Bullitts – Buy Discounted Dinner Show Tickets!

If you’d like to meet Bullitts, or any of my wise guys and gals here at Capone’s Dinner & Show, we’ve made it easy. Jus’ make your reservations online and get half price tickets! Come to our speakeasy an’ be part of the great audience interaction that Bullitts an’ the gang make happen every evening. Your entire family (including your 7 children) will enjoy the show and can play a part in the action. The laughter will do yous good, and the evening will be one for the history books.

Make Reservations

While you’re a guest at Capone’s Dinner & Show, be sure to meet Bullitts. He’s here nearly every night of the year. When he’s not, well, you can only imagine what he’s doin’ at home. We love our family & invite you to be a part of it too! Join us one evening soon.

Favorites Revived in New Show at Capone’s

The new show at Capone’s is reviving some old guest favorites. When something is liked, it is nice to see it come around again. Unlike sweater vests, hair metal bands, velour tracksuits or mullet hair cuts, some things are pleasing to experience again. Such is the case with some of the ‘new’ features in Capone’s anniversary show.

More Audience Participation

Audience participation has always played a large role in the show. It is definitely a guest favorite. However, now there is more audience participation than ever before. Guests participate from the very beginning when they must say a secret password to enter the speakeasy. From that time on, until the evening’s end, participation escalates throughout the new show at Capone’s. Guests that welcome participation, seem to have the best experience of all.

In previous shows, mostly men from the audience were selected to ‘help out’ on stage. Now men, women and even children (seasonal) participate. While the cast has always handled nearly every situation with complete professionalism, their talent in this area is utilized now more than ever. Men and women are somewhat predictable, but kids? They do and say the darnedest things… and you can bet the wise guys and gals are prepared for it!

New Show at Capone’s Revives Old Song Favorite

Even some of the musical numbers have been revived from past shows. For example, check out the photo below from the early 1990’s. It features dancers performing the old “Cell Block Tango.” It has been revived from the very first show ever performed at this Orlando dinner show. Now this guest favorite is featured all over again in the new show at Capone’s. Wait until you see the new version!

New Show at Capone’s features old hit

“Cell Block Tango” is revived from this early 1990’s hit.

Repeat offenders (returning guests) know several of the songs that are performed nightly. Often songs get stuck in your noodle after attending the new show at Capone’s. Check out this recent guest comment:

“Happy Mother’s Day!! My seven-year-old has been entertaining me all day with endless choruses of ‘fuh-get about it!!’ ‘get atta here!!’ and of course her favorite, ‘I like-a yo’ spicy meatballs!!!’ Thank you so much [C. Y.] for inviting us [to Capone’s Dinner & Show]! We had the time of our lives.”

Return to ‘the family’ and Visit Capone’s Again

If you’ve already experienced Capone’s Dinner & Show any time over the past 25 years, it’s worth another visit. Many things come and go, and trends have a way of making their way around again. Wear your velour tracksuit if you must, but return home to ‘the family’ and see the new show at Capone’s. We promise, it will be very difficult to… “fuhget about it!”

February’s Grand Prize Winner at Capone’s Dinner & Show

Al and the gang wish to congratulate James Whelan for being February’s Grand Prize winner at Capone’s Dinner & Show last Saturday. During our “25 Years of Memories” anniversary celebration we’ll be giving some lucky stiff a grand prize on the 25th day of each month. Next month it could be you! The next grand prize will be awarded on Saturday, March 25, 2017.

James, a.k.a. Bad Boy Jim (now that he is a ‘made’ man) came all the way from Thorntown, Indiana just to see the show! Imagine that. If you don’t know much about Thorntown, well it’s a small establishment out in the boonies – Boone County anyway. About 1,000 miles from our dinner show in Kissimmee. What a dedicated family member!

February’s Grand Prize Winner at Capone's Dinner & Show

February’s Grand Prize Winner – “Bad Boy Jim” celebrates winning the grand prize with the cast from Capone’s.

February’s Grand Prize Winner Experience

Bad Boy Jim’s favorites during the show include the songs. The tunes sure can get stuck in your head, huh, Jim? They are ‘toe-tapping jingles that really can mingle.’ Of course the audience participation isn’t anything to snub. Bad Boy Jim likes that too. The more the crowd gets into the act, the better our gang seems to play their part. You never know who might end up on stage. What a riot!

Speaking of riots, we want our guests to know that the weapons displayed in the show, which Bad Boy Jim isn’t keen on, are never rarely used. Al runs a tight speakeasy and knows how to keep everyone in line. Secretly, we think Bad Boy Jim was checking out the Tommy Guns in the gift shop. There’s all kinds of hotsy-totsy items for sell. From coffee mugs, T-shirts and key rings to posters of big Al himself. Be sure to pick out something to help you remember your evening with the wise guys and doll faces. After all, we’re all about special memories this year!

During the gangster shoot out, Bad Boy Jim was probably hiding out in the Four Deuces Lounge or other ‘private’ location. Why else would he turn down the grand prize of tickets to Universal Studios as well as free dinner show tickets (& and T-shirt) to return and become a repeat offender?! Something hinky was going on. The wise guys have insider information that Bad Boy Jim needed some cabbage for gas to make it home to Indiana. Our February winner left with a pair of Cs. Way to go!

The Rumble (News)

Be sure to spread the news about our anniversary show to all your friends. Bad Boy Jim found an ad for Capone’s Dinner & Show in some visitor information he picked up while on vacation here. Let’s hope that’s all he picked up! It’s said, “What goes on in Florida, stays in Florida.” We know that isn’t true in Jim’s case. He’s gonna tell all his pals about being a grand prize winner! Go ahead and sing like a canary!

Again, we’d like to congratulate February’s grand prize winner, James Whelan. Capone’s Dinner & Show hopes that the evening’s experience was the cat’s meow and will be a great memory for years to come.

Spotlight: New Kissimmee Dinner Show – Big Bang Burlesque

First it was a wedding, then a Vegas Rat Pack, now Pacino’s is bringing in a new Kissimmee dinner show called the Big Bang Burlesque. As with Capone’s Dinner & Show, guests are transported back in time to the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s when gangsters ruled and the nightclubs and dance halls featured cabaret entertainment. That, however, is about the only similarity between these two shows.

Capone’s features a show that includes a lot of comedy and is family-friendly. Most of the “seedy” show lines fly over the heads of the little ones. For the most part, if you allow your child to watch the evening television shows airing today, you’ll be fine in bringing the little ones to Capone’s show. The Big Bang Burlesque only allows guests 21 and over – for a good reason. As with Treasure Tavern, which is also an adult-only Orlando dinner show, Big Bang Burlesque takes the talent a step further in the sexy category. The show is saucy with plenty of striptease, twirling tassels (covering the bare minimum), flying feathers and more (less, actually – if you know what I mean). My recommendation: If going to a strip club would make you uncomfortable, do not go to this show. If you like a show “just naughty enough” then this show would be a fun experience.

Purchase Capone’s Tickets Now!

Another huge difference between these Kissimmee dinner shows is the meal experience. Capone’s features an all-inclusive package. For the low price of $31.99 (adult using coupon), you receive a delicious buffet, unlimited drinks (including several alcohol choices), dessert and the show. The experience will last anywhere from 2 to 3 hours, depending upon how long you linger after the show (or before the show if the Four Deuces pre-show is part of your evening plans). The Big Bang Burlesque is about an hour and a half, unless you arrive early for dinner drinks (not included). You have the option to include dinner ($55/ticket), or see the show only ($27/ticket). Tickets at the door for the show only are $35. Dinner includes a choice of one entreé: Chicken Parmigiana, Spaghetti with Meatballs, or Four Cheese Ravioli. You’ll receive a salad of mixed greens, tomatoes, black olives topped with Italian vinaigrette. (Capone’s has an entire salad bar.) Beverages include water, soda, ice tea and coffee. A full bar is available, but not included.

Big Bang Burlesque

The Big Bang Burlesque show has been successful in Tampa Bay for many years. With The Bella Room at Pacino’s Italian Restaurant (5795 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, Kissimmee, FL 34746) adding this new Kissimmee dinner show on Saturday’s only, they will have a chance to see how it will be received. At this time, only Saturdays starting May 9 through July are being promoted. Showtime is 8:00 p.m. with the doors opening at 6:00 p.m. Like the other shows that have been performed at this Kissimmee theater, it could run successfully for awhile, then be replaced with yet another show. Only time will tell.

Last we checked, this show was no longer selling tickets. You’ll have to call to see if they plan to return or will be performing during your time in the Orlando area.

If you’d like to spend an evening in an atmosphere that will remind you of the smoky, seedy dance halls where a “dance for a dime” was prevalent, this is your chance.  Step back in time to the original Cotton Club in New York, the Copacabana in Miami, the Kit Kat Club in Berlin, the Stardust in Las Vegas, or the infamous Moulin Rouge in Paris. The Big Bang Burlesque will allow you to “visit” them all in one venue for one evening.

If you’re looking for a show for the entire family, Capone’s Dinner & Show is still the best show around! The value is hard to beat, and there isn’t a dinner show in Orlando that can beat the half-price tickets purchased online. A group of 4 can attend and still pay less than you and your date will spend at other shows. However, if you are in need of some steamy entertainment on a Saturday night, check out the Big Bang Burlesque. If you attend this new Kissimmee dinner show, we’d love for you to share your experience here on Al’s blog. Keep it clean though! Al respects the ladies and expects his boys to be gents. Enjoy the show!
