Magical Dining Month – Great Food – Great Price

Dining out can be considered a treat by just about anyone. During the month of September, dining out can be downright magical! Magical Dining Month is celebrated every year, and the list of great restaurants that participate keeps growing. The event started this year on August 23 and continues through September 30, 2019.

Magical Dining Month

This special celebration consists of participating restaurants in Orlando, Kissimmee, in shopping malls/centers as well as several located within Orlando theme park resorts. Each location features at least one three-course, prix fixe dinner for only $35. Many restaurants will advertise what the menu is on their website.

Sometimes, the draw is more about the restaurant itself. The location entices people to take advantage of this deal, regardless of what is being served. Want to check out the new STK Orlando? Now you can, for just $35. How about Seasons 52? Winter Park’s Chez Vincent? Or downtown’s Boheme at the Grand Bohemian Hotel? They all offer a three-course meal for only $35 during the Magical Dining Month event.

You may not think a prix fixe dinner sounds very appealing. Rest assured, the restaurants are going to feature some of their best cuisines for your Magical Dining Month experience. Choices being devoured at a plethora of restaurants include steak, seafood, sushi, Italian, Caribbean, Latin, American favorites and more. There are so many restaurants, you’d have to eat out at least twice a day. You still would not fit them all in within the month of September!

Magical Dining Month Participation

You do not need a special membership or card to receive this deal. Simply select the participating restaurant, make a reservation (or call the restaurant), and ask your server for the Magical Menu when you arrive. Then enjoy! For an easy-to-find list of participating restaurants, check out Visit Orlando’s website.

After your meal, you’ll leave with a full tummy and a warmth knowing that one dollar from each meal is donated to one or more local charities. This year 12 different charities will benefit from Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining. Go ahead. Indulge your inner gourmet with an appetizer, entree and dessert at a variety of trendy bistros and upscale dining destinations. At the end of September, you’ll be happy to have had the opportunity to eat out in such a magical way.

Of course, we feel Capone’s Dinner & Show is one of the best restaurants in Orlando. However, many people don’t think of it as a restaurant due to the entertainment/show factor. New Restaurant in Kissimmee – Not Your Every Day Burger Joint

Maybe you’re a Miami Dolphin fan, maybe not, but most people love a good burger! Today (11-13-13) you can meet NFL legend and hall of fame coach, Don Shula at the newly opened Shula Burger restaurant in Kissimmee. He will be greeting the public from noon to 2:00 p.m. The new Kissimmee restaurant is located at 8124 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in the Rolling Oaks Plaza.

Each Shula Burger location has its own specialty burger custom-created for the local residents. The Kissimmee/Orlando location will feature “The Big O.” The burger is topped with pulled pork, barbecue sauce, orange coleslaw and an onion ring creating a finger-licking burger masterpiece. Sounds good, doesn’t it?

Other burgers include Coach Shula’s favorite, “The Don.” This burger is an all-American combination of a burger and a hotdog. Another choice is the Wine Country burger topped with roasted peppers, fresh goat cheese, balsamic greens and roasted tomatoes. Pictured here is Shula’s “Southwest” burger with roasted corn and black bean salsa, charred red onion, pepper jack cheese, topped with a delicious chipotle spread. All of Shula’s Signature Burgers are fresh and juicy, made from a blend of Premium Black Angus Beef, Short Rib and Brisket. You can even create your own burger!

Shula Southwest Burger

Other items on the menu include veggie burgers, chicken breast sandwiches and fresh green salads. Sides include fried pickles, sweet potato fries and crispy onion rings. Let’s not forget the hand-dipped Haagen-Dazs milkshakes. Yummy!

If you have a break for lunch today, visit the back-to-back Superbowl winning coach and enjoy a delicious burger. If you can’t make it until after work, or on the weekend, enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine while you enjoy a game on one of the flat screen TV’s. Visit www.shulaburger.com for more information about this new restaurant in Kissimmee.

Remember, if you just aren’t “into” football, or want something different to do on an evening out in Kissimmee, Capone’s Dinner & Show has great entertainment and a delicious buffet. An affordable dinner show that is suitable for the entire family, just might be as great as a hall of fame encounter.

Italian Restaurants in Kissimmee

Italian restaurant in Kissimmee photo of ziti in sauce

There are numerous Italian restaurants in Kissimmee. You have your typical chain restaurants of  Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Olive Garden, Romano’s Macaroni Grill and Sweet Tomatoes. These are wonderful places to dine at in Kissimmee, especially if you do not want to try new places. Their menus are very similar from one location to another. However, if you are looking for something different, and are craving Italian, you might want to consider one of the following restaurants in Kissimmee.

If you are looking for a restaurant in Kissimmee that isn’t too pretencious, La-Forchetta Ristorante (321 S. John Young Pkwy., Kissimmee, FL) will fit the bill. Their food is of good quality and the prices are fair. The decor is somewhat dated, yet many diners feel it adds to the authenticity of a old-world Italian restaurant. Be sure to save room for their desserts; the tiramisu and cheese cake with cherry sauce is a favorite. Tighten your belt – come in a small car – the parking is “skinny!”

Another local unique Italian Restaurant in Kissimmee is Tarantino’s Italian Restaurant in downtown Kissimmee (4150 West Vine Street, Kissimmee, FL 34741). The food is authentic and priced well with large portions, especially their pizza and calzones. It might be a good idea to have a reservation if dining during the height of the evening meal. If you are just stopping by though, have a seat at the bar and enjoy the excellent service at this restaurant in Kissimmee.

As warned at this Kissimmee restaurant, ‘if you want a chain restaurant, head down the road,’ Bruno’s is a one-of-a-kind Italian restaurant. It may be a little hard to find along the busy Highway 192; find it at 8556 West Highway 192 in Kissimmee, FL. The Italian New Yorker will be comfortable here as well as filled with a delicious meal. The menu is quite extensive, so there should be something to satisfy everyone in your party.

A favorite amongst locals and visitors is Pacino’s Italian Ristorante (5795 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34746) primarily because of it’s location and great service. Not too far for locals to drive to, and within walking distance of several hotels and time-shares. The service here is excellent, and even when busy, this restaurant in Kissimmee runs efficiently.

A new Italian restaurant, technically not in Kissimmee, but in Orlando, is Siro Urban Italian Kitchen. This is the area’s newest restaurant located in the Orlando World Center Marriott. Formerly known as Ristorante Tuscany, Siro offers an upscale dining experience for the resort guests as well as visitors. The menu will change with the seasons as this Orlando restaurant prides itself on the philosophy “from farm to fork.” Now that’s fresh!

A few other Italian restaurants in Kissimmee to check our are Venezia II Italian Restaurant in Old Town; Little Italy and Christina’s Italian Restaurant. These non-chain restaurants in Kissimmee just might be what you are looking for. Good Italian cuisine with various locations – hopefully one is near where you are staying or live.

Of course our favorite Italian restaurant in Kissimmee is Capone’s Dinner & Show. Their delicious dinner buffet is filled with Italian/American favorites.  There are many options for the kiddies too. This is definitely the place to bring a group of people who want to have a fun evening out. The food alone is worth the price of their half-off admission ticket (available online), but to receive the outstanding entertainment along with the meal is an excellent value. Your evening will be filled with approximately 3 hours of dining and fun, plus a life-long memory of a one-of-a-kind Kissimmee restaurant.
