A night you won’t soon forget Capone’s Dinner & Show

Capone’s Dinner & Show is a blast from the moment you walk through the doors and into our theatre you will be transported to another age. You see it’s gangland Chicago in Orlando Florida and Al Capone was one of the biggest Chicago bootlegers during prohibition. One of Al Capone’s fiercest rival Buggs Moran also had a major bootleging operation in Chicago.

Capone’s Dinner & Show is a bargain with our 50% Off coupon on our web site www.alcapones.com you won’t believe what you get for your cash. Delicious buffet, hysterical live show and since Al’s a bootlegger he also throws in beer, wine and cocktails. We can do this because Capone’s discounts to the general public rather than offering large profit margins to ticket resellers, we give our guests the savings.

Our original live stage show is not so much historical but rather a fun romp in an off the cuff manner. There’s a video on our site so you can get an idea of what Capone’s Dinner & Show is about (you can also view it on Utube just go to the Capone’s Dinner Show Channel).

It’s very flattering that after last nights performance we added five new fans on Facebook. That amazes me because I know I wouldn’t go to the trouble of either signing in or creating a new account and I believe that most people are like me in that respect.

You can also call 1-800-220-8428 to hear a cast recorded preview of Capone’s Dinner & Show. Hope to see you soon at our one of a kind speakeasy and cabaret.

Orlandos Best Dining Experience the California Grill at Walt Disney World in Orlando

The California Grill is a very unique dining experience. The food is awesome and it does come with the price tag. It’s located on the top floor of the venerable Contemporary Resort which is the best place to stay if you stay on Disney property, depending upon your budget. It’s a five star hotel on a lake and is the best located lodging on Disney property for transportation through out the Walt Disney World Resort. There are very few Walt Disney World Resort lodging options located on the monorail system and the Contemporary Resort is one of them.

The California Grill is what I would call new American cuisine.  From GREAT sushi to a fabulous steak and they even offer a kids menu. Although this is atypical for a high end restaurant Disney is a family resort and because of the entertainment aspect of seeing the Disney fireworks at, from in my perspective, the best place to see those incredible Disney fireworks. So depending on season you can expect there will be plenty of kids in the restaurant

It is also the most popular restaurant on Disney property because of all the forementioned reasons it’s typically booked far in advance. So if you want to try this entertainment and dining experience book far ahead even in slow seasons.

Should your budget not include this fabulous experience I invite you to visit our dinner show web site www.alcapones.com

Saturday January 9th and the Weather is Frightful Today, Here’s some Ideas on how to Enjoy Your Day

If you’re in Orlando now on vacation you know that the weather is HORRIBLE we might actually get sleet or snow flurries. The unprecedented cold all over the country is some of the worst weather I have seen in my thirty five years of living in Orlando. This is only the third time the weather report has called for snow in my thirty five years here.

So what should a tourist who’s in Orlando right now do today? Theme parks and water parks are definitly not a good choice for today. The Orlando area luckily has many indoor options on ways to spend your day and night. Todays a great day to sleep in and get a later start I promise you the theme parks will be slow. If you can handle this weather though you’ll breeze through attraction lines.

Here are some alternative ideas if you don’t want to brave the cold, sleet and possibly even snow today. Obvious choices include indoor malls which the best two for tourists are Florida Mall and Millenia Mall. All the outlet malls are outdoors so that may not be such a good choice. Depending on if you have children and the ages of your children indoor things to do include bounce houses, indoor attractions such as Ripley’s Believe it or not,Wonderworks, indoor flea markets of which there are many(largest is Flea World in Sanford and it offers circus acts and is more of a real flea market then the ones in the tourist corridors), Wonder Works and Titanic the exhibition.

Great eveving options include dinner shows of which there are numerous ones in Orlando including Medieval Times, Arabian Nights, Sleuths, Pirates Dinner Adventure and Capone’s Dinner & Show. I’ve listed the most popular and indoor of the dinner shows. It’s a great way to spend an evening and depending upon which you pick can be fun for all ages. We at Capone’s Dinner & Show feel we meet that criterion the best. I advise getting on the phone soon because on days like today the dinner show option is popular and if you want reservations and good seats call early. Spending New Years Eve in Orlando? Insider Tips on Where to Go!

You have so many options on how to spend your New Years Eve in Orlando from the ultra high end California Grill at the Contemporary Resort inside the Walt Disney World Resort to being in one of Orlando’s many theme parks to ring in the New Year. Be advised the theme parks will be packed and for the most part you won’t be able to toast the New Year.

City Walk at Universal Orlando is another option but again it won’t come cheap. Downtown Disney will be over run with tourists with children and has many dining options. So if you have young children this might be a good choice for you especially if you don’t want to stick around untill midnight. be sure and make dining reservations either way unless you’re good with fast food on New Years Eve.

All of the dinner Shows including Capone’s Dinner & Show offer some kind of New Years Eve parties. Capone’s offers two shows an early bird show which all discounts are accepted or at our New Years Eve Gala. The Gala includes so much for a very reasonable cost check out www.alcapones.com to find out more. Better start planning now though if you haven’t made plans already.

The Holidays are Here! If Your Visiting Orlando Here are Some Helpful Tips

Visiting Orlando during the busiest time of the year can be frustrating to say the least. Every northern transportation option into Orlando can be  risky because of the weather in northern cities  which can lead to vast airline delays, disrupting your Orlando vacation. The thing is it’s the most  fabulous time of year to visit Orlando, so this is one of the few periods I would recomend purchasing travel insurance.

Because it is Orlando’s busiest period of the year navigating your visit can make the difference between a joyful or stressful vacation. As a tourism insider in Orlando for over twenty years I have some tips for your vacation to make it a cherished memory.

Depending upon where your staying makes a big difference in how much time it takes you to get you where you want to go. Waiting for Disney transportation is awful, unless you are staying in one of their most costly hotels, the traffic on roads leading to any of the tourist spots is typically bad depending on when you leave your hotel or motel and I know you don’t want to spend your vacation stuck in traffic.

If you are staying on Disney property which is the largest hotelier in the Orlando metropolitan area. Avoid the early admission days as it’s very popular which translates into longer waits to board the buses if your not staying in one of the hotels on the monorail system. Also the monorail system is very old and has had multiple incidents recently. The answer to Disney transportation issues is to avoid the heaviest traffic times like after the fireworks end, leave early for the parks on the days that early admission isn’t offered, and  sleep late on those days when it is not offered .

Hotels and motels off Disney property include International Dr ive, Orlando South Kissimmee Resort area, and Universal Studios offering a limited number of rooms. Depending upon where you wish to visit while in Orlando will make a huge difference in transportation times and also save some cash.

If your primarily visiting Universal Orlando, Sea World and many other International Drive Resort area attractions. You can stay at Universal but it will be expensive due to the limited number of rooms on property and you will encounter the same transportation wait issues as at Walt Disney World. The International Drive Resort area comprised of indepently owned hotels and motels is the areas largest pool of hotel and motel options. Pick a property that offers free transportation and save the fifteen dollars a day parking cost at both Universal Orlando and the Walt Disney World resort.

The remaing option is staying in the Orlando South Resort area Kissimmee if you’re primarily visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. Transportation back from the Parks after the fireworks will be your biggest transportation issue. You have a large selection of economy motels, new franchise hotels and motels in the Orlando South Kissimmee Resort area. One of Orlando’s nicest hotels is the Gaylord Palms and it’s located in the Orlando South Kissimmee Resort Area. There are numerous mom and pop motels which can be a real bargain but with older motels be aware some are kept up nicely but there are some dives so if you decide to stay in the Orlando South Kissimmee Resort Area use one of the travel sites to ensure the quality you will get. I know this is repetative but pick a hotel or motel that offers transportation to the Walt Disney World Resort, many also offer transportation to International Drive Resort area attractions and some even have airport transportation. It also will save you cash with about every franchise restaurant there is. Satying at The Walt Disney World Resort will cost you more money on dining and just about everything else you need to buy on vacation. If you’re mainly planing on visiting the Walt Disney World Resort attractions unless you stay at a high end Disney hotel the Orlando South Kissimmee Resort area will offer the least traffic problems, save you money and give you freedom.

My personal choice is to rent a car for most of your transportation needs as it gives you much more flexibility and there are so many other things in Orlando that you will want to see. Al told me to tell yous you oughta try his joint Capone’s Dinner & Show visit us at www.alcapones.com. Best wishes for a Christmas memory you will always treasure!
