Water Parks Overview<\/h2>\n

The International drive area had Wet ‘n’ Wild, the oldest water park in Orlando, however, it\u00a0closed at the end of 2016<\/a>. Near to where it was located,\u00a0the all-new Universal Studios Volcano Bay<\/strong> water park has erupted. It has taken many of the popular features of tried and true water parks and is incorporating them, adding more and more features at the time of this page update.<\/p>\n

Aquatica<\/strong> and Discovery Cove<\/strong> also in the International Drive resort area offer a milder choice, but more relaxing and water rides you won\u2019t see anywhere else. Aquatica is a great park and Sea World\u2019s unique ability to combine sea creatures on rides is astonishing. Now the interaction at Aquatica does not even come close to Discovery Cove \u2013 an attraction that\u2019s not all about rides. The dolphin experience<\/strong> is truly the best thing I have ever done at a theme\/water park. They have two options; one with the Dolphin encounter and the other without. It\u2019s the most expensive and exclusive of all the parks in Orlando. Capacity is an issue, so book this experience as far in advance as possible.<\/p>\n

The Walt Disney World Resort has two water parks Blizzard Beach<\/strong> and Typhoon Lagoon<\/strong>. It\u2019s pretty obvious what type of experiences the parks offer \u2013 Blizzard Beach, mountainous and snowy, while Typhoon Lagoon offers a stormy thrill.<\/p>\n

SeaWorld Aquatica<\/h4>\n

Whether your idea of water play is serene or extreme, you’ll find it on the state-of-the-art rides and slides at Aquatica, SeaWorld\u2019s water park. Find one here that’s just your speed.\u00a0 They have something for teens and thrill-seekers, as well as Kata\u2019s Kookaburra Cove<\/strong> for the little ones.

SeaWorld\u2019s Discovery Cove<\/h4>\n

Universal Orlando\u2019s Volcano Bay<\/h4>\n

Volcano Bay is Orlando\u2019s newest water park. Rides and new features are being added as rapidly as water flows. Attractions include drop slides, aqua coasters, body slides, raft\/tube rides, winding rivers, reef areas for children and a beautiful beach. Heated by the\u00a0Krakatau\u00a0volcano, the water is delightfully warm during the cooler months. This new Orlando water park is often filled to capacity.

Walt Disney World\u2019s Blizzard Beach<\/h4>\n

Always imaginative, the Disney folks came up with a water park that looks cool even before you get in the water.\u00a0 Blizzard Beach appears to have been blanketed in several feet of snow. \u00a0Besides the fun looks of this park, there is fun for all ages, from the little ones to those brave enough to go down the 13-story log flume<\/strong>, and everyone in between.
