Capone\u2019s Dinner & Show<\/strong> has been open for over 18 years and Medieval Times<\/strong> was already open many years before we opened. I started seeing print publications with 50% off tickets<\/strong> a couple of months ago, and on Friday I was driving back from Ft. Lauderdale, I noticed freshly painted billboards (about 15 or so) saying tickets start at $33. In my time in the business (18 years) I have never<\/em> seen Medieval Times discount to the general public this drastically.<\/p>\n

Medieval Times model, for as long as I know, was selling tickets through resellers giving a large margin to the ticket sellers. That has changed \u2013 you can now get tickets heavily discounted to the general public at Medieval Times. While discounting to the general public has been Capone\u2019s Dinner & Show’s model for our entire history and that\u2019s why you won\u2019t see resellers selling Capone\u2019s tickets. Ticket resellers will, in my opinion, eventually stop selling Medieval Times tickets, because the main reason tourists offer with ticket resellers is convenience and saving money on tickets.<\/p>\n

I had heard through the grape vine that Medieval Times was not doing well. Discounting to the general public seems to be their answer to getting the show back on the right track. Now I will add this, unlike Capone\u2019s where you get the best seats based on when you make your reservations, the discounts being offered by Medieval Times are their least prime seats<\/strong>. They will also try and sell you upgraded experiences and better seats. Because Medieval times seats about four times as many guests as Capone\u2019s Dinner & Show, we do not charge a premium prices for our best seats.<\/p>\n

While Medieval Times tries to revive its business using a similar model as Capone\u2019s Dinner & Show we continue to offer the best dinner show meal <\/strong>(it\u2019s buffet style so you get many more choices) in Orlando. We also offer the best selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Medieval Times does not<\/strong> pour a premium draft and the only other choice for alcoholic beverages is wine. Medieval Times also tries to save money on their beverages by not keeping guests glasses full. I personally think the dinner at Medieval Times is probably the worst of any dinner shows in Orlando. In my opinion they would be better off increasing their quality of beverages and dinner. That\u2019s the track we took at Capone\u2019s Dinner & Show and we have had to raise our prices slightly<\/em> to deliver a tasty meal and upgraded beverage choices.<\/p>\n

Final piece of advice should you desire to attend Medieval Times, check with Medieval Times<\/a> directly and then check out ticket resellers prices. Be sure and look at the differences on seating and upgrade deals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
