This new 2.5 acre <strong>reef theme park attraction<\/strong> is designed so that people, regardless of their swimming capabilities, can enjoy a multitude of fish and marine species. Unlike the old reef, this one features fewer drop-offs or levels, and is providing a more comfortable experience for everyone. That is, if you are comfortable swimming with a shark a few feet away!<\/p>\n<p>There are 125 species of fish and other sea creatures, including <strong>5 species of sharks<\/strong>. The sharks are enclosed in a separate portion of the reef, with a glass wall to separate them from the guests. However, when you swim up to the glass, it is hardly noticeable, because it is positioned at an angle, giving the guest a close encounter experience. Sharks may even be swimming underneath you! Lionfish can also be viewed in their own secluded habitat (due to them being very predatory).<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t want to<em> swim<\/em> to the sharks? Why not <em>walk<\/em> up to them instead? Confused? Well, you won\u2019t be when Discovery Cove opens their new <strong>underwater walking tour<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>SeaVenture<\/strong>. This tour includes dive helmets that are lowered onto guests heads as they step down a ladder into the reef. Guests will then creep through the reef with up-close encounters with the shark tank as well as thousands of other fish. This <strong>attraction<\/strong> will cost an additional fee and is expected to be available very soon.<\/p>\n<p>With summer heating up, this <strong>Florida theme park<\/strong> is sure to see an increase in visitors.
