If you appreciate food as much as Mama Capone and the wise guys at Capone\u2019s, take note: the World Food Championships<\/strong> are taking place in Celebration, Florida this week! Delicious food of all cuisines will be represented. When great food mixes with various contests, you can expect a spectacular show!<\/strong> Of course, the level of excitement could be\u00a0based upon the level of a true foodie you happen to be!<\/p>\n

At Capone\u2019s Dinner & Show, our kitchen always strives to produce a delicious buffet filled with numerous fresh favorites. Guess you could say, we have a few foodies amongst us…which is just one of the many reasons our dinner show is a great experience!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

World Food Championships Draw a Crowd<\/h2>\n

This yearly food event<\/strong> (held last year in Las Vegas) is expected to draw 500 cooks, 400 judges and around 600 volunteers, not to mention the spectators!\u00a0Professional chefs<\/strong> from around the world compete against home cooks<\/strong> for $300,000 in cash prizes. Not only can spectators taste and get ideas from this foodie event, you can even get in on the action! Participate in Que school (BBQ), watch demonstrations and enjoy a food fight! Not any ordinary food fight, but one where local restaurants<\/a> battle it out to see who will be\u00a0judged as the best team during a heated competition.<\/p>\n

Events at the World Food Championships begin tomorrow, Tuesday, November 3<\/strong> with many\u00a0free events<\/strong> getting stirred up on Wednesday continuing through November 10th. By mid- to late-morning throughout the weekend, various dishes are demonstrated nearly every half hour. There is also a mixology<\/strong> section for those of you that are interested in learning to create the perfect Manhattan or other traditional drink. Take Note:<\/strong> Al\u2019s Rum Runner won\u2019t be on any menu<\/a> at the WFC, so you\u2019ll need to save room for an evening at Capone\u2019s Dinner & Show<\/a> after attending the championships to experience it.<\/p>\n

Fresh From Florida\u00a0Competition<\/h3>\n

Of particular notice for this year\u2019s championship is the \u201cFresh From Florida\u201d<\/em> contest which will be held on Friday, Nov. 6<\/strong> starting at 2pm (across from the Main Stage). Three contestants will compete for $2,500 using their best recipe of under 500 calories. Contestants include:<\/p>\n
