Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Show
If you enjoy hula dancing and fire performances involving knives and dancing, the Spirit of Aloha Show is right for you. Join Auntie Wini as she hosts a luau to bid fairwell to one of the local island girls who is headed to the mainland to go to college. The dancing is beautiful and includes traditions from many countries, including Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga, New Zealand and the U.S. state of Hawaii.
The Dinner Menu
A luau wouldn’t be complete without a feast. This dinner is a family-style feast with plenty to eat. The ‘all-you-care-to-enjoy’ tropical feast includes authentic dishes prepared to perfection. Enjoy island pulled pork, bbq ribs, roasted chicken and fresh vegetables. Salad also is available as well as pineapple-coconut bread. Speaking of pineapple, you’ll love the dessert of pineapple bread pudding with caramel sauce. The kids have choices of corn dogs, pizza, mahi mahi and more. Soft drinks, beer and wine are included, and specialty cocktail beverages are offered at an additional price.
Showtimes and Reservations
Most evenings offer two showtimes at 5:15 and 8:15 p.m. Reservations are recommended. You can make them as far as 180 days in advance. If you are here on vacation, make the date early into your stay. Because the theater is outdoors, cancellations due to inclement weather is possible. By scheduling your reservation early in your vacation, it will allow another date to see the show. Also, in the summer, the later show time is best because of the dramatical fire show when it is darker outside.
The Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show theater is located near the Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, between it and the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. This makes it convenient if you are staying at either of these properties.
