Weekends at SeaWorld Offer Birds, Brew & More

SeaWorld WIld Days

Everyone loves penguins, right? If you have a special interest in these funny, interesting and entertaining creatures, then don’t miss the last weekend of Wild Days at SeaWorld. This weekend, January 25 & 26, animal expert, Julie Scardina, will tell stories of her trips around the globe in efforts of conservation and for her love of animals. Don’t miss this up-close animal event you can only experience at an Orlando theme park.

SeaWorld penguinsThe best way to experience Wild Days is with a 2014 SeaWorld Fun Card. If you buy one, you can get one FREE at the gate with any recyclable can or bottle from any Coca-Cola beverage product. Talk about an incentive to recycle! Once you have your Fun Card, you’ll enjoy unlimited access to this weekend’s Wild Days event as well as special benefits during other events throughout the entire year.

While you’re at SeaWorld, make sure to stop by the Shamu Up Close experience. Once the folks at SeaWorld bring back the regular killer whale show, you’ll not have the chance for this type of experience. Read more about this limited time show on this earlier post…

Now that you have a yearly pass (if you don’t have one, get one or a cheap one-day theme park ticket), head back to SeaWorld on the weekends for the Bands, Brew & BBQ event. This weekend festival begins February 1 and runs through March 9, 2014. Concerts begin at 4pm, but you can purchase a Brew Sampler ticket ($24) and arrive as early as 11:30 a.m. There has been some controversy of bands cancelling, however, I’m sure SeaWorld will fill the void with great music. The best way to see what bands will be playing is to visit SeaWorld’s Facebook page. Besides, the event isn’t just about bands. Personally, I think going to this event for the Brew & BBQ is well worth it. Where else can you see cute fuzzy arctic creatures, enjoy a cold one & feast on good southern food?

SeaWorld is a great theme park to attend, and the next few weekends they have a lot to offer. If you’re visiting the Central Florida area and have tickets for this Orlando theme park, enjoy your time there. Also, make sure you save a night for Capone’s Dinner & Show. It is the best value of all the Orlando dinner shows. Everyone in your family can get into the era of prohibition. With over 15 beverages to choose from (included in the price of the ticket), everyone in your gang will find something to enjoy…from brews to Shirley Temples! And if you think the penguins at SeaWorld are funny, you’ll love the “birds” at Capone’s! Hysterical characters all around.

Government Employee Specials & Discounts in Orlando

We deeply regret that we are no longer able to offer this Government Special

Orlando dinner shows and theme parks are well-known for their military specials. Almost every Central Florida attraction offers some type of discount prices for the military. It is a great way to show appreciation for their service. However, not all of these discounts apply to government employees. These public servants are often left out and do not receive special discount prices to area attractions, dinner shows and accommodations.

Capone’s Dinner & Show is currently running a special offer for government employees. The way we see it, as a government employee, you’ve served a lot of folks. Now it’s YOUR turn to be served. For the low price of only $19.99, every person in your party can enjoy an excellent evening of “dinnertainment!” Let the wise guys and gals at this popular Orlando dinner show serve you a big meal with lots of laughs at a ridiculously low price. It doesn’t matter if you work for our federal government, or are employed by a state, county or city government agency, you can take advantage of this great ticket deal. One thing that makes this discounted ticket offer really stand out, is the fact that not only YOU get this low price, but every person in your party also gets this price! The only bad thing about this special offer is that it ends October 15, 3013.

What do you need to do to take advantage of Capone’s government employee offer? You can print this flier (link will open in another browser window), or go to this page on Capone’s website and print it out. Call 1-800-220-8428 to make your reservation. Tell the mobster on the phone that you’ll be bringing in the coupon for the special deal, how many people are in your party, and what date you’ll be attending the show. Be sure to bring the coupon and your government-issued i.d. with you when you come to the show. Check-in at the box office and everything will be arranged for you. If you’ll be celebrating a special occasion when you attend the dinner show, let the gang know that too. Special recognition for any occasion is blast!

Flapper dancers and beat cop

Capone’s Dinner & Show is not the only Orlando attraction to offer government employees a special deal. Many other Orlando dinner shows, theme parks, and hotels also show their appreciation by providing great ticket deals or discounted prices. You can usually find these deals by going online and performing a search in the topic for which you are interested.

If traveling to Orlando from out of town, there are several hotels that offer government special prices. Marriott, Aston Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, and Embassy Suites are just a few of the hotels where you can show your government-issued id and receive a discount on lodging. A fantastic place to stay if you have young children and will be including the area theme parks during your stay is Nickelodeon Family Suites.  They have a lot of activities for the kids, so it might be a good idea to plan NOTHING for one day during your vacation just so you can have fun right there at the resort!

If you travel a lot, it might be wise to sign up for a free account on a website such as Gov Vacation Rewards. By being a member, you’ll have access to special offers on cruise lines, resort stays, and many of the theme parks and attractions located throughout the United States! Not only will you get a good deal, but a portion of the proceeds from this organization is donated back to servicemembers through government-run departments such as the MWR (Morale, Welfare & Recreation) department, Wounded Warrior Program, and Vacations for Veterans.

Regardless of where you stand on our government’s actions and policies, it is a nice gesture to thank the employees that help keep this great country running. If you happen to be one of these people, take advantage of the special offers while they last. When they expire, please know that our appreciation continues every day. Thank you for your service!

Florida Residents: It’s Discount Attraction Ticket Time!

Capone’s Dinner & Show isn’t the only Orlando attraction offering half price tickets. Today through December 31, 2013, Florida residents can purchase tickets to Wet ‘n’ Wild at half the cost of the regular admission price!  The only catch? Some of the tickets must be purchased online (and a few other details… keep reading).

Wet 'n' Wild Water Park Orlando

Wet ‘n’ Wild is a very popular water park located on International Drive. This area is very busy with tourists, and many of them are from Florida. This discount attraction ticket deal is great for visitors to Central Florida. Whether you’re traveling here from the panhandle, northeast coast, southwest coast or the Keys, Central Florida has a lot to offer our own residents, especially this time of the year. The half price admission cost for Florida residents is $27.50 plus tax. You can purchase up to 6 tickets on one ID. It is good for one day only. Perfect for visitors.

If you live in Orlando or a nearby town, as a local resident, you might be interested in some other options which Wet ‘n’ Wild offers. You can “buy a day” and get the rest of this year free. It also includes a $5 discount, so the price is $50 plus tax. Not bad. The Day Platinum Pass is also an excellent value. You pay full price general admission ($99 plus tax) and get the rest of the year free – plus – you get to skip the regular lines! (One time per visit.) On some days, this won’t seem like that great of a value, but there will be several more weeks of warm-weather crowds, so the lines will still be longer on certain days. If you have a favorite ride, use the Express Pass on that ride and enjoy the perks. The Express Pass bargain deal must be purchased by September 2.

All of Wet ‘n’ Wild Florida Resident offers are not valid during special events, after-hour events or private parties. They all expire on December 31, 2013. The one-day half price tickets and the Day Platinum Pass are available online only. You can get the “buy a day” get the rest of the year free ticket deal at the water park.

At Capone’s, there isn’t a catch at all for their half price tickets. This Orlando dinner show offers fantastic discount attraction tickets year round, online or at the box office. If you’ve never experienced this entertaining evening of fun, do so now! They even offer a special gift for Florida residents (be sure to click the direct link to this great offer). It’s a fantastic time of the year to visit some of the Orlando area’s must-try attractions and dinner show opportunities. It’s a great time to be a Florida resident!

Theme Parks & VIP Tickets – worth it?

Capone’s Dinner & Show is working on implementing VIP tickets with special perks. A little over a year ago, the option to add dress-the-part costumes to your online ticket order was implemented and has been very popular. Who doesn’t like a boa or a fedora to wear when attending a speakeasy? Yet Capone’s is very aware that most people are on a tight budget, and want to make their Orlando dinner show experience an affordable one for everyone. Other local attractions offer expensive options…

Most Orlando theme parks offer upgrades and special services of some type. Depending upon the park and what you get for the extra money you spend, it may well be worth it. However, are you willing to pay nearly $500 for a VIP tour? Some might if it meant seeing one of the top attractions in Orlando behind the scenes, no waiting in lines, and a host of other special perks. But…. Would you pay this amount to go to Legoland?

Legoland Florida VIP Tour

Orlando attractions appeal to families of all economic classes, including the wealthy, and this is what Legoland is counting on. It is a bit of a drive out to this theme park located in Winter Haven, and it caters mostly to families with children age 2 – 12, yet the “Legoland Florida VIP Experience” could very well boost visitor spending for this Merlin Entertainments Group. At least the theme park will be getting more money out of their wealthiest guests.

The cost of the “Legoland Florida VIP Experience” will start at $495 per adult and $445 per child (ages 3-12). It will include your family’s very own private host, tours of a “secret” model shop, a session with one of the park’s master model builders, lunch, front-of-the-line ride access and other perks and gifts. If you want a private cabana, beach towels and a locker at the water park area of the attraction, you’ll pay an additional $100. Mind you, this is for a single day ticket!

Obviously, this VIP package is not for families looking for discount Orlando theme park tickets. This caters specifically to families that have no problem spending well over $1,000 to go to an Orlando attraction. Some families are willing to pay even more, especially during special events. For example, during Red, Brick & Boom (July 4th), Christmas Bricktacular and the Kids New Year’s Eve celebration other perks can be purchased with the VIP tour. Extras will include a VIP picnic and a designated viewing area for fireworks.

While many families are hard pressed to purchase a single day pass at any Orlando attraction, there have been, and always will be, families that can afford to spend a great deal of money while on vacation. It is good for our local economy and good for the area theme parks. Hopefully it is equally good for the VIPs, and they find the extra expense well worth it.

If you happen to be one of these VIP-types and want to make a reservation, or want more information on Legoland’s VIP experience, call 855-753-7777. Details can also be found on their website.
