Spring Break in Orlando is a popular destination choice for families and college-age adults alike.  It’s no surprise, with all the fun things to do in Orlando! Regardless of the ages in your family or group, there is something for everyone in Orlando during Spring Break.

Spring Break in Orlando Theme Parks

Disney World is celebrating 50 years and there is plenty to see and do at their theme parks. This year, families can enjoy the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival at Disney World.  This festival showcases some amazing topiary figures of Disney characters, as well as beautiful and colorful displays of flowers, live music, kids’ games, outdoor kitchens, and more.

Jurassic World VelociCoasterDepending upon when your Spring Break is, Universal Studios Orlando will most likely still be celebrating Mardi Gras. Street performers, free concerts, parades (on select nights), Cajun cuisine, and New Orleans bands in the French Quarter are just a few of the features to enjoy. Did you know? A limited number of spots on the parade floats are available for you to toss beads to the crowd! Depending upon your age, you will also enjoy the new VelociCoaster now open in Jurassic Park.

SeaWorld Orlando is always a great place to visit, and during Spring Break they have many special events to enjoy. These include the Seven Seas Food Festival, Mardi Gras, and a St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. You won’t want to miss out on riding one of the most anticipated rides of 2022 – the Ice Breaker roller coaster!

Everyone is hopeful that the Spring Training games will begin soon. The Grapefruit League plays at several locations throughout Florida. A few are within a few hours’ drive from Orlando.

Orlando Science Center offers Spring Break camps for members and non-members with kids grades K-5. These camps are always great fun with loads of learning. The center will also be hosting a Kids Night at the Museum on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

Capone’s Award-Winning Experience Recognized Again!

Capone’s Award-Winning Experience has received an award 10 years in a row! Capone’s Dinner & Show was first awarded a TripAdvisor honor in 2011 (for 2010). We’ve repeated every year since! Talk about a repeat performance!

Capone's Award-Winning Experience from Tripadvisor

Same Award, New Name for Capone’s Award-Winning Experience

Prior to this year, TripAdvisor honored top-rated lodging businesses, restaurants, attractions, and more, with a Certificate of Excellence. This year they have changed the name to Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice award. The Capone’s award-winning experience is based on reviews by travelers on the world’s largest travel site. To be eligible, a business must maintain an overall rating of four or higher (out of five), as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor. The volume of reviews received within the last 12 months is also taken into account.

“Capone’s is pleased to receive a TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice award,” said John Kucik, President at Capone’s Dinner & Show.  “We strive to offer our customers a memorable experience, and this accolade is evidence that our hard work is translating into positive reviews.”

Helping Capone’s Receive the TravelersChoice Award

We’d like to thank everyone for their positive reviews! Since our experience has been award-winning for 10 years in a row, many factors contribute to our success. The show, excellent wait staff, great ticket value, and a host of other reasons. Not only have the positive reviews appeared on TripAdvisor, but also on Facebook and Google.

Happy Days! Al’s Gang is Bootlegging Again

“Happy Days are Here Again!” This song resonated with the repeal of prohibition many decades ago. Fast forward to 2020 and the same can be sung again, despite a world pandemic.

Al’s gang is bootlegging again! We are opening our speakeasy on a limited basis. We’re taking many precautions (read them here) and want our guests and staff to feel safe.

TICKET SCHEDULE

As businesses re-open, let’s get happy. It means we can go back to work. Get out of the house? Yes! It means we are learning how to protect ourselves. We’re able to celebrate socially, albeit at a safe distance. We are winning!

We can all use a good laugh and a great meal prepared by someone else (Mama Capone). Take all of the precautions we’ve been advised of to heart. Then join our gang in celebration. Let’s get back to happy days!

Best Time for the Best Offers for Florida Locals

September and October are quite possibly the best months of the year to visit Florida. With school in session, the tourist season seems to slow down a bit. The weather can be drier and not as hot. There are, of course, those pesky hurricanes to consider. As we have recently experienced with Dorian, weather experts often predict storms far enough in advance that your plans can be changed. Most Orlando theme parks and attractions will work with you in changing dates due to named storms.

With lines at the attractions shorter, you get more for your money. The weekends aren’t too bad, but if you can get away during the week – even better! The cost of admission is less too. Florida resident discounts can be found almost everywhere. If you are a local, NOW is the time to go to the theme parks and explore your own backyard!

Discounts at Theme Parks & Attractions

All of the major theme parks offer Florida resident specials this time of year. A quick internet search will show them on the first page of the search results. Smaller attractions and shows, such as Gatorland, Forever Florida, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Safari Wilderness Ranch (Promo Code: flres50) and Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament also offer discounts to residents.

Additionally, now through the rest of the year, many water parks are also offering Florida resident specials. Huge discounts can be found. Check out Aquatica and Discovery Cove. If you haven’t visited these parks lately – GO! If you haven’t visited the newest waterpark in the area, Universal’s Volcano Bay, now is a good time to experience this awesome addition to the Central Florida aquascape. The weather is still warm enough to enjoy a refreshing dip in the water.

If you are searching for deals on hotels, restaurants, car rentals, golf, and other things to do in Central Florida, there are 3 local websites you need to search. They have all the deals listed and easy to find.

  1. Experience Kissimmee
  2. Visit Florida
  3. Visit Orlando

If you are a Florida resident, what are you waiting for? Now is the time to revisit the parks or try something new. Why should tourists have all the fun? Use as many Florida resident discounts as you can and see what all the buzz is about.

*The $3 coupon may be combined with the half-price coupon offered by Capone’s Dinner & Show, but may not be combined with any other ticket offer, discount or gift offer. It has no monetary value by itself. Existing reservations do not qualify for this discount.
