Orlando’s Fine Dining

My personal favorite fine dining spots in Orlando:

Due to Orlando’s HUGE convention center just about every fine dining chain has locations in the vicinity of the Orlando Convention Center. Most are located on Sand Lake Road what locals refer to as ‘restaurant row.’

Want a taste of Seasons 52, it’s here! This fine dining concept by Darden features smaller portions and somewhat smaller prices. Designed to be a healthy alternative in fine dining, if you’re counting your calories and still want great taste then Season’s 52 is the place for you!

How about a juicy steak? Ruth Chris and Morton’s both have locations on restaurant row. My favorite of the two is Ruth Chris because of its beautiful décor and somewhat more of a casual feel.

How about some Asian infusion? Roy’s has a location across the street from Ruth Chris. The ambiance is spectacular and the food is delightful. Book early if you want to go to Roy’s as it is a favorite of the convention crowds.

Want a taste of south of the border? The Samba Room is a fantastic option for both dining and dancing with live entertainment often featured. Grab those dancing shoes and head for the Samba Room.

Talk of the Town Restaurants a locally owned chain of fine dining restaurants and its Moon Fish Grill is a great choice if you’re in the mood for seafood. Personally I love their Alaskan King Crab Legs which are served split in two so all you have to do is scoop that sweet meat and dip it in butter.

Venturing outside of restaurant row you will find many fine dining establishments. Winter Park lays claim to the areas only Flemings another great place for fine steaks. Italian cuisine on your mind? How about Brio located in the Winter Park Village or Antonio’s with locations in Maitland, Celebration and on Sand Lake Rd.

Try the many locally owned restaurants on Park Avenue in Winter Park. This upscale shopping and dining district offers smaller more intimate fine dining. Walk along the avenue and check out menus and the unique atmospheres available on Park Avenue.

Want a little entertainment with your meal? How about the view of Disney fireworks at the California Grill located on the top floor of the Contemporary Resort. Great service and everything from sushi to filet mignon are all on the menu at this Disney gem of a restaurant. Book VERY early as this is Disney’s most popular restaurant – don’t even think about going without reservations. It’s also my favorite fine dining spot in Orlando.

The Orlando metropolitan area offers numerous choices when it comes to fine dining and I have covered but a small portion of all the area has to offer. I have included restaurants that I have enjoyed and feel comfortable recommending, but I assure you, I have not tried all the options for fine dining in the Orlando area.
