July’s Grand Prize Winner at Capone’s Dinner & Show

Al and the gang wish to congratulate Diane Boudreau for being July’s Grand Prize winner at Capone’s Dinner & Show Sunday, July 25th. During our “25 Years of Memories” anniversary celebration we’ll be giving some lucky stiff a grand prize on the 25th day of each month. Next month it could be you! The next grand prize will be awarded on Friday, August 25, 2017.

Diane, a.k.a. Mammo (now that she is one of Al’s gals) came all the way from Boston just to see the show! Imagine that. What a dedicated dame! We’re fairly sure Mammo has some connections from the Boston syndicate. While her winning is a little hinky, Al assures us it was all above board. He should know. Nothin’ goes on in his joint without full disclosure.

Yous sees, the night of Mammo’s visit, lady luck was on her side. The wise guys asked this random broad to pull the winning ticket. She pulled her very own number! What are the odds? Well, one in several hundred. Better than odds at pickin’ 6 numbers, but still very unusual. With this being Mammo’s first visit to our speakeasy, we know she didn’t have connections to set up a sting. So here’s to a square winner!

July’s Grand Prize Winner

“Mammo” was the big winner of July’s anniversary prize, but this ain’t her. Seems she is the shy type and put her son up to take the fall, er a, used him in the evidence photo.

July’s Grand Prize Winner Experience

Mammo’s favorite part of the evening was the great servers and cast. It’s hard not to fall in love with our goons and gals. It doesn’t take a pushover to appreciate their hard work. Servin’ drinks, takin’ shots from plugs, all while being a vital part of our new show. We also think our guests are the bee’s knees. They take good care of our gang, and we’re happy to welcome them into ‘the family.’

The least favorite part of Mammo’s experience was “nothing.” Her words exactly. Our chopper squad didn’t get near her & there were no promises of cement shoes – we swear! With great food and a great show, at a great price…what’s not to like? If you need more reasons to love us, read our countdown list. Capone’s Dinner & Show remains the best value of any Orlando dinner show.

Mammo’s prize was a pair and a half Cs in her pocket, plus a C note to spend in our very own gift shop. Hold on though, that’s not all. She also received 4 tickets to Capone’s Dinner & Show! We’re fairly certain some new clothes and shoes are headed for Mammo’s closet. She’ll probably drop a dime on her husband too. Afterall, he is the one that informed her of our joint. Hopefully, Boston is ready for this swanky kitten! Of course with tickets to our show, her mob will always be welcomed back. We love our repeat offenders.

Again, we’d like to congratulate July’s grand prize winner, Diane Boudreau. Capone’s Dinner & Show hopes that the evening’s experience was the cat’s meow and will be a great memory for years to come.

June’s Grand Prize Winner at Capone’s Dinner & Show

Al and the gang wish to congratulate Cristy Miller for being June’s Grand Prize winner at Capone’s Dinner & Show Sunday, June 25th. During our “25 Years of Memories” anniversary celebration we’ll be giving some lucky stiff a grand prize on the 25th day of each month. Next month it could be you! The next grand prize will be awarded on Tuesday, July 25, 2017.

Cristy, a.k.a. Chris (now that she is one of Al’s gals) came all the way from Pennsylvania just to see the show! Imagine that. What a dedicated broad! If Chris had been around during the Progressive Era, she would know that PA has quite a history with speakeasies. In fact, in the early 1920s, there were as many as 16,000 speakeasy establishments active during Prohibition. Known for their breweries, this part of our Nation didn’t give up easily on its giggle juice. If you’d like to read more about Chris’s home state during Prohibition, Annie Anderson has written an excellent article.

This was Chris’s first visit to our speakeasy dinner show. She discovered our joint by reading an advertisement. Glad it caught her attention! Hoping to earn her approval, the gang worked very hard, as they do each evening. Of course, the prize she won would have gotten anyone’s approval. At the end of the evening, thankfully, she gave us a thumbs up! She’s not the only one approving of our job here. Capone’s Dinner & Show has recently been awarded a Certificate of Excellence for the 7th year in a row by Trip Advisor. But more on that later…back to our June’s grand prize winner.

June’s Grand Prize winner

“Chris” was the big winner of June’s anniversary prize, seen here with the gang with thumbs up indicating her approval.

June’s Grand Prize Winner Experience

Chris’s favorite part of the evening was the show. The new show really is our best yet. Experience it yourself. You’ll feel like a true part of this prohibition era speakeasy as you dodge questions from a snooping Detective, watch dancing dames, hear smooth and exciting jazz vocals, and laugh at our quick-witted gangsters. Don’t be surprised if you become a part of the show!

The least favorite part of Chris’s experience was “nothing.” Nothin’! Zilch! Zippo! A big goose egg! Just the way we like it. From the time you enter the theater to the time you depart, our mob is trying to make your experience at our Orlando dinner show great in every way.

Chris’s prize was two and a half Cs in her pocket, plus a C note to spend in our very own gift shop. But wait, that’s not all. She also received 4 free tickets to Capone’s Dinner & Show! Now she can become a repeat offender and drag some other members of her gang in with her. You’d think she would spend her winnings on her return visit here, but no. She claims she is spending her winnings at some clip joint called Disney. Guess the mouse will be glad to hear that!

Again, we’d like to congratulate June’s grand prize winner, Cristy Miller. The gang at Capone’s Dinner & Show hopes that the evening’s experience was the cat’s meow and will be a great memory for years to come.

May’s Grand Prize Winner at Capone’s Dinner & Show

Al and the gang wish to congratulate Alex Luchen for being May’s Grand Prize Winner at Capone’s Dinner & Show Thursday, May 25th. During our “25 Years of Memories” anniversary celebration we’ll be giving some lucky stiff a grand prize on the 25th day of each month. Next month it could be you! The next grand prize will be awarded on Sunday, June 25, 2017.

Alex, a.k.a. Hairs Malonz (now that he is a ‘made’ man) came all the way from Olathe, Kansas just to see the show! Imagine that. What a dedicated family member! Knowing Olathe is home to Garmin headquarters, it’s no wonder Hairs Malonz found his way to our speakeasy. With our location being near all of the Orlando tourist hot spots, our joint is easy to navigate to.

Hairs Malonz has only attend our speakeasy once, so the wise guys and gals knew they had to make a great first impression. Boy did they ever! Yous sees, this mob (see photo below) had straight hair when they arrived, but laughed themselves into a full head of curls. Why else would he earn the gangster name of “Hairs Malonz?!”

May's Grand Prize Winner

“Hairs Malonz” was the big winner of May’s anniversary prize, seen here with one of his gals holding the prize.

May’s Grand Prize Winner Experience

Hairs Malonz’s favorite part of the show was the singin’ and the dancin’. Those beautiful dames sure can cut a rug. Our new show features some great choreography and dance moves that will knock your socks off. Many musical numbers have remained in our new show, but we’ve revived some old favorites and incorporated new tunes too. Yous should see the new show for yourself.

The least favorite part of Hairs Malonz’s experience didn’t have nothin’ to do with the new show, but everything to do with his fellow guests. Seems some of them couldn’t keep their yappers closed and were talking too much during the performance. While we do have a lot of interaction between our cast and guests, this ain’t no hash house. The chopper squad strongly advises being considerate of others. Keep in mind that cement shoes come custom-fit.

The Grand Prize

May’s grand prize winner prize was 2 admissions to Universal Studios, 2 tickets to Capone’s Dinner & Show, plus $100! You’d think he would use the “C” note to get the curls outta his hair. But knowin’ this high-hat, he’ll probably waste his prize on paying for part of his vacation. At least the extra tickets will come in useful. It’s always a blast to be a repeat offender. Going to Universal isn’t too bad either, and going with free tickets is even better. What a fun thing to do in Orlando!

Speaking of fun things to do, Hairs Malonz discovered our joint by seeing an ad in a coupon book. Those magazines are great for tourists and locals. These magazines contain information about attractions, restaurants and shopping. These coupons save our guests 50% off tickets, plus more. Our coupons include a special code that allows an additional discount or prize when purchasing tickets online. Pick up a copy, look for our ad and find some great bargains.

Again, we’d like to congratulate May’s grand prize winner, Alex Luchen. Capone’s Dinner & Show hopes that the evening’s experience was the cat’s meow and will be a great memory for years to come.

February’s Grand Prize Winner at Capone’s Dinner & Show

Al and the gang wish to congratulate James Whelan for being February’s Grand Prize winner at Capone’s Dinner & Show last Saturday. During our “25 Years of Memories” anniversary celebration we’ll be giving some lucky stiff a grand prize on the 25th day of each month. Next month it could be you! The next grand prize will be awarded on Saturday, March 25, 2017.

James, a.k.a. Bad Boy Jim (now that he is a ‘made’ man) came all the way from Thorntown, Indiana just to see the show! Imagine that. If you don’t know much about Thorntown, well it’s a small establishment out in the boonies – Boone County anyway. About 1,000 miles from our dinner show in Kissimmee. What a dedicated family member!

February’s Grand Prize Winner at Capone's Dinner & Show

February’s Grand Prize Winner – “Bad Boy Jim” celebrates winning the grand prize with the cast from Capone’s.

February’s Grand Prize Winner Experience

Bad Boy Jim’s favorites during the show include the songs. The tunes sure can get stuck in your head, huh, Jim? They are ‘toe-tapping jingles that really can mingle.’ Of course the audience participation isn’t anything to snub. Bad Boy Jim likes that too. The more the crowd gets into the act, the better our gang seems to play their part. You never know who might end up on stage. What a riot!

Speaking of riots, we want our guests to know that the weapons displayed in the show, which Bad Boy Jim isn’t keen on, are never rarely used. Al runs a tight speakeasy and knows how to keep everyone in line. Secretly, we think Bad Boy Jim was checking out the Tommy Guns in the gift shop. There’s all kinds of hotsy-totsy items for sell. From coffee mugs, T-shirts and key rings to posters of big Al himself. Be sure to pick out something to help you remember your evening with the wise guys and doll faces. After all, we’re all about special memories this year!

During the gangster shoot out, Bad Boy Jim was probably hiding out in the Four Deuces Lounge or other ‘private’ location. Why else would he turn down the grand prize of tickets to Universal Studios as well as free dinner show tickets (& and T-shirt) to return and become a repeat offender?! Something hinky was going on. The wise guys have insider information that Bad Boy Jim needed some cabbage for gas to make it home to Indiana. Our February winner left with a pair of Cs. Way to go!

The Rumble (News)

Be sure to spread the news about our anniversary show to all your friends. Bad Boy Jim found an ad for Capone’s Dinner & Show in some visitor information he picked up while on vacation here. Let’s hope that’s all he picked up! It’s said, “What goes on in Florida, stays in Florida.” We know that isn’t true in Jim’s case. He’s gonna tell all his pals about being a grand prize winner! Go ahead and sing like a canary!

Again, we’d like to congratulate February’s grand prize winner, James Whelan. Capone’s Dinner & Show hopes that the evening’s experience was the cat’s meow and will be a great memory for years to come.

January’s Grand Prize Winner at Capone’s Dinner & Show

Al and the gang wish to congratulate William Buchholz for being January’s Grand Prize winner at Capone’s Dinner & Show last evening. During our “25 Years of Memories” anniversary celebration we’ll be giving some lucky stiff a grand prize on the 25th day of each month. Next month it could be you! The next grand prize will be awarded on Saturday, February 25, 2017 (late show).

William, a.k.a. Dollar Bill (now that he is a ‘made’ man) came all the way from Niagara Falls, N.Y. just to see the show! Imagine that. What a dedicated family member. He looked kind of familiar, so the wise guys did some snooping around. A snitch explained that ol’ Dollar Bill has attended the speakeasy before. Three times in fact. So not only is he a ‘made’ man, he is a repeat offender. Just the way we like ‘em.

January’s Grand Prize Winner

Dollar Bill and his gang celebrate winning the grand prize with the cast from Capone’s.

January’s Grand Prize Winner Experience

Dollar Bill’s favorite part of the show is the impromptu interaction between Al’s gang and the guests. You better believe it. Our mob is quick on their feet serving up drinks and whatnot, as well as quick one-liners. Our goons and doll faces can bump gums with the best of ‘em.

Last night during the intermission, Dollar Bill’s least favorite part of the evening, most guests were refreshing their drinks, stretching their legs and visiting the ‘private room.’ You’d think this means the restroom, but not for Dollar Bill. We think he might have snuck up to the OTHER private room, the Four Deuces Lounge. If you’ve not checked it out, do so on your next visit. Better yet, upgrade your ticket to VIP status and hang out with some real characters in the lounge before the evening starts.

Of course, during the intermission Dollar Bill could have been checking on the bets he’s plannin’ on making. The wise guys have it from a very reliable source that he will most likely waste his winnings at the casino. Who knows? Maybe he’ll strike it rich. We certainly hope so. As part of the family, we all get our ‘cut,’ right William?

Spread the news about our show to all your friends. Dollar Bill’s friends told him about Capone’s Dinner & Show and look where it got him – a grand prize winner!

Again, we’d like to congratulate January’s grand prize winner, William Buchholz. Capone’s Dinner & Show hopes that the evening’s experience was the cat’s meow and will be a great memory for the Buchholz gang for years to come.
