Last-Minute Valentine’s Plans

It can happen to the best of us. We wait until we’re scrambling and then have to make last-minute Valentine’s plans. Or… one Sweetheart expects something more than is planned; one Sweetheart hasn’t planned anything at all, or the plans that have been made fail miserably. Any of these scenarios can result in a whole lot of not-love going around. Here is some advice from the Wise Guys & Gals to keep these scenarios from happening this evening (or Saturday) with YOUR Sweetheart… even if you are reading this and making last-minute Valentine’s plans.

Plain and simple last-minute Valentine’s plans… take your “Gal” or “Goon” to a dinner show at Capone’s tonight!

There are still a few tickets available for tonight’s Capone’s Valentine’s Show. The early show option is extremely limited, however, tickets are readily available for the late show (8:30 pm). Either way, it will seem as if you’ve planned this evening for weeks! Purchase tickets online, pick up your date and show up for the show! Or, purchase tickets, call a cab or Uber and arrive at the show ready to enjoy the unlimited drinks included in your show ticket.

Tickets are only $34.99 adults and $22.99 kids (plus tax and gratuity). There still may be a limited number of VIP Tickets available at $46.99 adults and $31.99 kids (plus tax and gratuity). However, since you’ve waited until now (like a true flat tire) and are making last-minute Valentine’s plans, don’t count on those VIP tickets.

Last-Minute Valentine’s Plans 2 nights, 2 shows

Saturday has Two (2) Shows too!

With V-day being on a weekday, perhaps you’re planning to celebrate your love this weekend instead of tonight. Capone’s has you covered there too! This Saturday, February 18, there are also two show times available (5 pm and 8:30 pm). Tickets are available for both of these shows…at least for now. Even though it’s not really, really last-minute Valentine’s plans, attending the show on Saturday gives you a few more days to make it extra special. HINT: Spring for some roses or jewelry to go along with the dinner show tickets!

Pre-order a boa &/or a fedora and get into the spirit & have fun!

Costume accessories are definitely the cat’s meow. Have fun while you’re out for the evening! Get into the era! Cheap accessories can be found in the gift shop if you forget to purchase them online with your tickets. For those of you wanting to be treated like a big boss or significant skirt, Capone’s VIP tickets are the way to go. VIP tickets include:

  • Early admission (enjoy Al’s Four Deuces Lounge)
  • Casino chips for table games
  • A take-home souvenir shot glass
  • Tickets for the Dinner and Show
  • VIP Seating offering our best seats in the house
  • Priority Seating – We seat Valentine’s Day VIP guests first (provided you are on time)

Capone's Valentine's VIP Experience

If you still need to make last-minute Valentine’s plans, just go to AlCapones.com and order Valentine’s dinner show tickets and relax. You’re going to have a great time. Your special someone is really going to enjoy the show, and you’ll come away smelling like…well, a dozen roses! The gang hopes everyone will join them and have a great Valentine’s day today. If not, Al hopes you have a really, really good alibi!

Happy V-day everyone!

2015 marked Sleuths 25th anniversary which Capone’s Dinner & Show will be celebrating in 2017. It is great to know that dinner shows are standing the test of time in Central Florida.

Speaking of 25th anniversaries, Blue Man Group is celebrating their 25th year. Congratulations! In 2015 they started offering a meal and a show deal which is worth repeating here. This is a spectacular show, so why not combine it with a great dinner out? Choose from certain menu items at CityWalk restaurants for $74.50/adult and $42.50 for children. Capone’s is Best Value

Capone’s Dinner & Show continues to be the best Orlando dinner show bargain. Very few places can entertain a wide range of ages for over 2 hours, offer free drinks, a full buffet, and cost so little. Want a free shot glass from the Four Deuces lounge? Several of Al’s Pals VIP discounts come with a free shot glass for each adult. As one of the best fall dinner show deals, you’ll leave with a smile on your face and a full, full stomach. Not many dinner attractions can do that!

Finally, this is a great time of the year to visit the Central Florida theme parks and attractions. Don’t pay full price. There are discounts out there; you may have to do a little research, but the savings are well worth it. The fall season is upon us. Experience an Orlando dinner show while the crowds are smaller, before the busy holiday season is here.

Cheap Fun Thing to Do in Orlando Tomorrow

If you are looking for a cheap fun thing to do in Orlando with your family in the evening, be sure to get in on the $5 admission offer Tuesday night at the Orlando Science Center. This great ticket deal is made possible by the Walmart Foundation which offers this special deal at OSC a couple times a year. Tuesday, June 23 is the night!

This is a great evening to take your entire family, especially younger children to the museum. From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. you can view the 3-D films and all of the exhibits except the new “Mummies of the World” exhibit. It is closed for a special engagement. Additional Hollywood movies in 2D and 3D can be purchased in addition to the entry fee.

Some of the fun things to do are:

  • Science Live – including digital adventure theater stage shows, storytime, animal interactions and more
  • Exhibit Halls – including nature, planets, art, KidsTown and more
  • Science Stations – including weather, space and SimMan
  • Science Around Us – where you can ask a scientist and get experiments to try at home
  • Crosby Observatory – which at this time of the year offers SkyWatch to view planets like Jupiter, Mars and Venus

Mummies of the World

Mummy ExhibitThis exhibit is great for educators, older children, and science enthusiasts. You definitely want to see it while it is at the Orlando Science Center (through late November). Younger children may also enjoy it, however, it can take as long as an hour and a half (even longer) to view it and thoroughly absorb its interesting presentation. I don’t know of too many youngsters that have an attention span for this type of exhibit, but some do. Mummies of the World exhibit provides a guideline for parents viewing the exhibit with children. It can be downloaded here.

The mummies in this exhibit come from all over the world. Places as far away as Ecuador, Scotland, Hungary, Germany, the Netherlands and of course Egypt. The specimens help visitors learn how people and animals lived and died. Through advanced science, we are given a window into the lives of these ancient people, with unprecedented insights into their past cultures. Some of the interesting mummies include:

  • The Orlovits family who are part of a group of 18th-century mummies discovered in a long-forgotten church crypt in Vác, Hungary in 1994
  • Animal mummies including a cat and a falcon mummy from ancient Egypt, a lizard naturally mummified in the Sahara desert, a hare from an Alpine glacier, and the head of a sloth, shrunken as training for preparing human heads in the Jivaro culture of Ecuador.
  • Complete and partial Egyptian mummies, illustrating how people were mummified and how the dead were treated in ancient Egypt.
  • Many others

It is no surprise that so many people enjoy OSC and find it a fun thing to do in Orlando.

If you’ve never attended this museum, the $5 admission offer is a great way to see what is offered at the Orlando Science Center. You may enjoy it so much you’ll purchase a membership, which is the best way to experience this museum on an ongoing basis. A family membership is $155 and an individual membership is $115. Orlando Attractions & Dinner Show BOGO Offers

Anytime you can buy one and get one free (dinner show BOGO), it is a difficult deal to pass up. Who doesn’t like getting something for free?! During the month of April, you have an opportunity to purchase one orlando dinner show ticket and receive another free – or purchase an Orlando attraction ticket at half price!

Knights battle at a dinner show

The Medieval Times Kissimmee dinner theatre, is offering a BOGO deal through April 30, 2015. If you enjoy watching knights compete on horseback, take advantage of this deal. Adult ticket prices are normally $62.95 and includes a four-course meal and the two-hour show. You may call 888-WE-JOUST or log on to MedievalTimes.com to book a reservation using the promo code BOGOFL.

Of course me must mention that Capone’s Dinner & Show offers half off tickets year round!  This isn’t a Florida resident deal either! Anyone can get in on this discount attraction ticket offer. Purchasing a ticket at half price is the same a buying one at full price and getting the second Orlando dinner show ticket for FREE!

How can Capone’s do this? Most dinner show attractions sale their tickets to resellers. The reseller marks up the ticket price to match that of the attraction so that they can profit from the ticket sale. Capone’s tickets are sold directly to the guest – no middle man to mark up the cost! What’s the catch? You simply need to use their online coupon or purchase tickets directly on their site. Easy-peasy.

Gatorland Half Price Ticket Special

Also during April, Gatorland is offering a 50% off (half price) ticket special for Florida residents. This makes a day at this Orlando attraction very affordable for an entire family. You may love it so much, at the end of the day, you will want to purchase an annual pass!

• Adults – $13.50 per person
• Children (3-12) – $9.50 per person
• Seniors (55+) – $10.80 per person
• $29.99 zip line special

Gatorland will let you apply the cost of this half price ticket towards your annual pass! This is a great offer, especially if you live in the Central Florida area and think you’ll return to this attraction again within the year. An annual pass also provides discounts on extra costs you can explore when you attend this attraction. Check out their Adventure Hour or Off Rookie Wrestlin’ Experience. The pass also discounts your gift shop purchases as well as many food and beverage purchases.
