Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens

Starting early September through the month of October (select nights), Busch Gardens will feel a little creepy. Maybe a LOT creepy. The park will be overrun by zombies, ghosts, and evil fun (if you think getting scared is fun). What’s new for this year’s Howl-O-Scream event at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida?

What’s New for Howl-O-Scream?

Werewolves, witches and creatures from the unknown will make a disturbance this year. However, you can bet there will be a vampire, zombie or spirit of evil as well. Especially in the new haunted house – the D.H. Baggum’s Circus of Fear where guests are invited to “Come one, come all, to the most terrifying show you’ve ever seen.” It is sure to make your spine tingle and your blood run cold!

Haunted Houses

Haunted houses returning from years past include “The Residence: Home for the Holidays,” “The Forgotten: Uprising” and “Witch of the Woods” the house where only bone-chilling stories & dying screams make their way out. All of the haunted houses are included in the admission price starting at $48.99 per person. Discounts are available for passholders, advance purchases and other promotions.

Rides & Scare Zones

As if riding the Iron Gwaza, SheiKra, Montu, Cheetah Hunt, Tigris, Cobra’s Curse, Scorpion, Sand Serpent and Kumba in the dark wasn’t scary enough, the haunted houses are joined by some thrilling scare zones. These include “Raven’s Mill, “Beyond the Veil,” “The Junkyard,” “The Shortcut,” and new scare zones, “Sin City Zombies” and “Big Ed’s Demolition Derby.” Of course, once you think you’ve survived them all, there is the hidden zone and roaming hordes. Untold horrors seem to lurk everywhere in the darkness awaiting your arrival.

Tampa’s Busch Gardens theme park is about an hour’s drive from Orlando. Visitors may want to consider a weekend pass and local hotel accommodations. For a little more money, you can get in on a VIP package, front-of-line passes and other “evil upgrades.” Get ready to scream!

If you are looking for a calmer attraction near to Orlando, be sure to save a night for Al’s gang at Capone’s Dinner & Show. Tickets are always half price when purchased online.
