Bull Rider at the Silver Spurs Rodeo

One of Kissimmee’s most honored and oldest events will take place June 4th and 5th – the Silver Spurs Rodeo! Cowboys and cowgirls will round up at the arena to cheer on some of rodeo’s top professional riders as they compete. It is an exciting event you won’t want to miss.

Bull riding has become the most popular event at the rodeo. Any sport that involves a rider getting on a large bull and attempting to stay mounted for 8 seconds while the animal attempts to buck off the rider is bound to draw a crowd! Then there are the rodeo clowns, which not only help keep the cowboy safe from the animal once it has freed itself of the rider, but entertain the crowd when the action in the chutes quites down.

The Silver Spurs Rodeo is the largest rodeo east of the Mississippi and is annually ranked among the top 50 events sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). The new Silver Spurs Arena at Osceola Heritage Park, 1875 Silver Spur Lane, Kissimmee, FL 34744 is part of an $84 million dollar facility, so the rodeo takes place rain or shine, and in fine fashion! The Arena boasts 8,300 seats and 12 luxury skyboxes. Regular admission seats get you close to the action for only $15.00 per person per day. Children 10 and under are free with a paying adult.

The Silver Spurs Rodeo has grown into a large business and is one of Osceola County’s premier events. It is an American tradition that has been passed down for generations. And speaking of American, be sure to where red, white and blue when you attend the rodeo. The Silver Spurs has teamed up with Wrangler National Patriotic team and will donate $1.00 of each ticket sold to a local USO.

The rodeo begins Saturday, June 4th at 7:30pm and finishes up Sunday, June 5th @ 2pm. Doors  open 1 hour prior to the start time. Because traffic gets congested event organizers ask that you please plan accordingly.

Then on June 16-19 the Silver Spurs will host the NBHA Florida State Finals.  The barrel racing action begins each day at 8am and admission is FREE! Plan on watching some of the best girls in Florida compete to be the Florida State Champion.

Capone’s Dinner & Show wishes all the cowboys and cowgirls the best of performances at the 127th Annual Silver Spurs Rodeo and the Barrel Race finals. We’d like to invite you and your family to save a night for Capone’s Dinner Show. Before or after you compete, our nightly show is a favorite for all ages. Our zany cast of characters are a little like the rodeo clowns, and the entertainment and surprises never end. It will take a little longer than 8 seconds to make it through our dinner buffet, and we promise to keep your boots filled!
