Dining out while visiting the Orlando theme parks can have its challenges. What will the kids like? How expensive is it? Is it fast service or relaxing sit-down style? Most parks offer a good mix of cuisines and restaurant styles to fit nearly every family’s needs. Next year at CityWalk, you’re challenge might be eating at all of the restaurants that are offered in which you really want to dine at!

Eight new restaurants are coming to Universal Orlando CityWalk, offering a variety of new cuisine and a few go-to favorites. This marks a historic expansion and is estimated to be ready by June! As for variety, you’ll find plenty. It seems Universal has selected not only the more popular cuisines, but also the best producer of these experiences. Get ready to feast like never before!

Starbucks

Love coffee? Starbucks will remain at CityWalk, but will be moving downstairs. Moving this popular coffee restaurant will allow it to expand to 2,400 sq. ft. It will have outside seating on your way into the theme park.

Cold Stone Creamery

Next to Starbucks will be one of the favorite go-to restaurants when it comes to ice cream. Cold Stone Creamery has become very popular in Florida. This restaurant will certainly be a summer favorite here at CityWalk.

Menchie’s

If you want a little healthier dessert, CityWalk will be offering a Menchie’s next summer. This frozen yogurt is gluten-free and vegan-friendly, yet great tasting and full of quality ingredients. You’ll love the self-serve toppings bar! It will be located close to the movie theater.

Bread Box

If you love sandwiches, you’re sure to love this new concept for restaurants at CityWalk. Hand-crafted sandwiches made with fresh bread will remind you of your favorite street corner deli. All types of sandwiches will be offered, made with quality meats and vegetables. This restaurant will also be located near the cinema.

New Italian restaurant coming to CityWalk Orlando

Pranzo

This Italian restaurant will kick up the experience a notch from the existing Italian restaurant located at CityWalk. While Pranzo may not end up being its name, you will name this experience as a favorite once you watch the culinary team handcraft pasta from scratch. Located in the center of this Orlando attraction, this Italian restaurant will take on classic dishes and be a great sit-down experience.

Red Oven Pizza

If you love pizza half as much as I do, you need to experiencing this restaurant. The Red Oven Pizza Bakery is already open and features a 900-degree stone-lined oven creating pizza perfection. Combine this perfect oven with the highest quality ingredients and you just might have the perfect pizza.

For other existing restaurants already open at this theme park, read our page about Universal Studios Restaurants.

Antojitos

Another favorite cuisine is Mexican food. While there are no shortages of this type of cuisine at nearby Orlando restaurants, this CityWalk addition will be unmatched when it comes to authenticity. With 2 kitchens and 2 floors, guests will be twice as likely to love this new restaurant.

Hot Dog Hall of Fame

It is said that every dog has its day, and at this new theme park restaurant, you’ll be able to select your dog from a collection of the best hot dogs from around the country. Since hot dogs just seem to go with baseball, expect a ballpark atmosphere, as well as a grand slam hit – a gourmet mustard bar!

The Cowfish

Most of the new restaurants at CityWalk will offer cuisine that we are used to. Many restaurants will be familiar and meet the dining demands of a wide variety of guests. However, none are as unique as this new restaurant concept. Where, oh where, can you find hamburgers and sushi (cow | fish) on the same menu? This new concept is sure to be a hit with guests that want to satisfy a varied palette among their family members.

With all of these new restaurants being constructed, there is sure to be a lot of closed-off areas. Guests at CityWalk will need to put up with the inconveniences improvements bring. Once they return and have a content meal or treat, they’ll forget anything that might have left a bad taste in their experience.

If you are in the mood for Italian cuisine as well as many American cuisine favorites, and wish to dine in the Kissimmee/Orlando area outside of a theme park, remember Capone’s Dinner & Show offers a delicous buffet sure to please the entire family. Enjoy dining at CityWalk – just remember to save a night for Capone’s. You’ll be glad you did.
