If you’ve been a guest at Al Capone’s show and have enjoyed the food, wine and music, you might consider a trip to Tampa for the Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival. Weekends starting early in March through late in April, this festival offers perfect pairings when it comes to food, wine, music and attractions. Best part – you don’t have to purchase an additional theme park ticket to enjoy it, but you will probably want to. Various food and drink packages are available, as well as a VIP ticket.

Coconut Shrimp

Tempt your taste buds with the rich flavors of the Savory Tavern including coconut shrimp cigars.

The Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival is a way for this Florida theme park to showcase some of their wonderful restaurants. Special appetizer-sized portions are offered at different tasting cabins/tents. If you think you’ll only want to sample one dish, then bring some extra cash. Tastings can range from $5 to $8 for food; $8 to $10 for alcoholic beverages. See their menu on their website.

VIP Attraction Tickets

Different ticket packages are offered. If you only want to sample drinks, purchase the Wine & Brew Sampler ticket starting at $34.99. Want to eat and drink both the fine wines & brews? The Food, Wine & Brew Sampler is for you. Enjoy 5 samples of beer or wine and any 5 samples of food. This special ticket starts at $42.99. If you want VIP treatment and/or priority seating at the concert, check out the VIP attraction tickets being offered. They range from $49.99 to $59.99 and up. Well worth the cost if you plan to attend the Tampa theme park primarily because of the Food & Wine Festival. Food and beverage locations open at noon and close at 9:00 p.m.

Free Concerts

With various musical acts covering pop, soft rock, latin, country, contemporary and classic music genres, most everyone will find a Saturday or Sunday that they’d enjoy for the concert alone. The concerts are held on Gwazi Field.

Headlining concerts begin at 6:00 p.m., however additional acts (some are local favorites) perform at 1:45 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. providing all-day entertainment. Concerts are also included with admission to the park. Nothing like a free concert!

With more than 65 fine wines, 50 craft brews and featured cocktails to choose from throughout Busch Gardens during this special event, the pairings are endless. It is a little bit of a drive from our Orlando dinner show, however, St. Pete isn’t much farther. It is one of the wise guy’s favorite beaches in Florida. Instead of a one-day trip, consider making it an over-nighter. One day for the theme park; one day for the beautiful beach.

Be sure to bring your gang to our dinner show, then head over to Tampa and enjoy the Food & Wine Festival. Life is good when you have great food, good music, fine wine and a “family” like you have with the guys and gals at Capone’s Dinner & Show. Enjoy!
