When you think about Orlando theme parks, you may not think about eating with a character from the attraction, but it can be a fun thing to do. Especially if you are a fan of a particular character. A few years ago, we posted character dining options at Disney. There hasn’t been much change, so if your favorite characters are Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Handy Manny or Cinderella, check out our previous post.

SeaWorld Character Dining

There are character dining options at other Orlando theme parks too. SeaWorld offers Dine with Shamu which is very popular. After all, it is much better to eat with a killer whale than be eaten by one! Read more on a previous post about this Orlando dinner show.  If you are looking to join Sesame Street characters, it seems this character dining option is no longer offered. No more Cookie Monster? There are other options. In past years, during October, SeaWorld did offer breakfast with the Count. It is likely that they will offer this again. Nickelodeon Character Dining

Character dining at Orlando theme parks

If you are staying at or near the Nickelodeon Suites Resort, perhaps your day could begin with SpongeBob’s Bikini Bottom Breakfast or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  SpongeBob’s breakfast is available every day, however, the TMNT Breakfast is only available Tuesdays and Thursdays certain months. Regardless, you’ll think it is Saturday with all of the Saturday morning cartoon characters. Your kids can meet Dora the Explorer, Cosmo, Diego, all of the Ninjas and more! Reservations are required. Prices for adults (13 & up) are $24 and $14 for kids (3 & under free).

Universal Studios Character Dining

You have a couple of restaurant choices for character dining options at Universal Orlando Resort. Cafe La Bamba serves up breakfast with characters from Universal’s Superstar Parade at Universal’s Superstar Character Breakfast. The cost is $25.99 for adults and $12.99 for children. Theme park admission is also required. Other locations for character dining oportunities include Jake’s (breakfast), located at Loews Royal Pacific Resort and other on-site hotel restaurants – Trattoia del Porto, The Kitchen and Islands Dining Room on select evenings for dinner.

It appears that the character breakfast at Island of Adventure’s Confisco Grille is no longer being offered or promoted. However, you still might run into one of your favorite characters while eating lunch or dinner at one of the many restaurants at Island of Adventure. Dine at Mythos Restaurant, Confisco Grille or at the Three Broomsticks and have a memorable meal. The atmosphere at these Orlando theme park restaurants is amazing.

Capone’s Dinner & Show Character Dining

It goes without saying, we think the best characters to dine with are our very own mobsters and dames at Capone’s Dinner & Show. You can wait around after the show and have your photo taken with many of the cast members. The wait staff are more than happy to get shot at (with a camera, of course). Your entire family will love the show and audience interaction. The food is great and the drinks are unlimited. This Orlando character dining opportunity is the best value around. No theme park admission required! Reserve your seats online and save 50%! Tickets for adults are only $29.99 and $19.99 for kids (3 & under are free).
