Saturday, April 30 from 10am to 2pm, the Maitland Art Center will host the 9th Annual Children’s Art Festival. This year the focus is on ‘the Magic School’ where potions, prisms and pendants are discovered and created and the ‘other realm’ where art activities and live entertainers engage the imagination through hands-on learning and performance. Sounds magical and bewitching!

Activities include making clay cauldrons, bubble painting, drawing with invisible ink, visiting the owlery and making magic medallions. Special guests include the Colby Center for Dance, The Central Florida Zoo, the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey and the Suzuki Music School. Other groups from the community will also be involved, including the Maitland library, the Scribes of Central Florida, Central Florida Watercolor Society and the Weavers of Orlando.

Admission to this event is free for children under 12 and $5 per adult. For more information, visit the Art and History web site or call 407-539-2181.
