“Most fun I have had at a dinner show”From the time we exited the car and were greeting by some thug in a pinstripe suit though applause at the end of the night, the cast made sure we had a great time.

We opted to enter the club early (one drink purchase required) and hung out upstairs while some played cards and others sat around talking. By coming in early, you avoid waiting outside and do get seated first, however it did not appear that those necessarily got better seats.

Every person working is in character. The stage show was only a small part of the entertainment. I had most of my fun listening to the characters interact with guests and each other. It was cheesy, funny and just a downright good time.

The food was good, certainly nothing great, but for $30 a piece we had a pretty good meal, great entertainment, and plenty of drinks. The service by the staff was exceptional. My wife’s sodas and my rum runners never sat empty – and I drank eight of those rum runners so they certainly could have given up any time. That said, I was feeling good at the end of the night so I would suggest there is a little rum and a lot of runner in their drinks.

As required by Florida law, every venue must take your picture and try to sell you photos. Capone’s found a way to convince us to buy them with their mocked up newspaper featuring both our name and photo against a police mug-shot-style background.

“Al Capone’s…down home…speakeasy!”

This was my fourth trip to Capone’s, and it just gets better every time! Yes, it’s kitschy. The jokes are corny, and the laughs are cheap. But the food is decent, the drinks keep flowing, and the show changes on a regular basis. All you can eat Italian buffet offers spaghetti, pizza, lasagna, turkey, beef, sausage and peppers, and a full salad bar. Drinks include wine, beer, soda and several types of cocktails. The service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is just fun. If you’re looking for 5* entertainment, and gourmet food, you won’t find it here. If you want a fun, fairly inexpensive night out to laugh, eat, and have a few drinks, this is the place. For those with children, some jokes do venture to the raunchy side, so keep that in mind if easily offended. My only disappointment was missing the “Going Bananas” song that wasn’t part of this show, but the new show provided plenty of laughs and more audience interaction than in the past, so overall, it was another great experience at Capone’s! I’ll be back, and so will the first timers that accompanied us this time around!

The wise guys and gals, and myself, Al, here at Capone’s Dinner & Show thank everyone for their positive reviews. We love our repeat offenders! We also love the positive feedback given by our guests. You are the reason our show and service continue to be the best.

We are working on getting studio time for recording new music, and have also added new cast members to insure that a high quality cast is always in place. Mama Capone has started cooking whole turkeys in our new smoker, and a new state-of-the-art fryer is being introduced in the kitchen, which should enhance the quality of our fried food. Also included in the improvements are new heat lamps for the hot dinner buffet to spread the heat out more evenly. Some of these suggestions came from our guests and we value their input. So if it has been awhile since you have visited our dinner show, we would love to see you back!
