Starting this weekend (July 5), Disney’s Hollywood Studios will begin a special event called Frozen Summer Fun Live! It will continue through September 1 and will include limited-time activities and specials centered around the movie “Frozen” and its characters. This is an Orlando theme park event you’ll not want to miss.

Frozen Summer Celebration

Sisters Anna and Elsa come to life and create an all new Arendelle fairy tale kingdom during a daily parade down Hollywood Boulevard. Riding in a horse-drawn sleigh, they are also joined by mountain man Kristoff in this royal procession. They are surrounded by skaters and ice cutters. You won’t want to miss the special moment on the Sorcerer’s Hat stage!

If you like to sing, join the sisters and the Royal Historians of Arendelle in a sing-along. This 20-minute show takes place in the Premiere Theater several times a day (12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.). If you love the soundtrack from this movie, you’ll enjoy every note.

A celebration wouldn’t be complete without fireworks. Each night the soundtrack will set the tone for spectacular “Frozen” fireworks. A lot of blue and white fireworks will be featured at this Orlando theme park. Check it out every evening at 9:45 p.m. (up until August 16), or 9:15 p.m. (August 17 through September 1).

Soundstage One is the location for a “Frozen Funland.”  Where else in Orlando can you build a snowman in Florida during the summer? Watch the ice carving exhibition while sipping on hot cocoa. This is also a perfect opportunity to have your photo taken with the film’s animated characters. There are also Orlando shopping opportunities at Oaken’s Trading Post.

Then each night, you can dance at the “Coolest Summer Ever Dance Party” where a live band will play from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. If you have any energy left by this time of the day, this special event is a great way to get it all out of your system, just in time for the fireworks show!

The best part about this theme park special event is that most of the activities are included with park admission. Ice skating, hot cocoa and a few other extras will cost you a cool buck or two. If you’re wanting to escape the Florida heat, think ‘frozen’ and head over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a day.

If you are visiting the Central Florida area and are looking for something a little different to do during one evening of your vacation, check out Capone’s Dinner & Show. This is a one-of-a-kind dinner show, not found in any other place in the USA. Sit back in our air-conditioned historically decorated theater and relax after a full day at the theme parks. Let our cast of crazy characters entertain you while you dine like a ‘boss’ at our delicious dinner buffet. Save a night for Capone’s – you’ll be glad you did!
