Enjoy a ‘visit to the islands’ and get yourself a famous ‘cheeseburger in paradise’ at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville at Universal Orlando CityWalk.  (Theme park admission is NOT required to enjoy CityWalk.)  This popular restaurant provides a laid-back atmosphere with indoor or outdoor seating, live music nightly, and a “Parakeet Beach” area for the little ones to enjoy.  The relaxing island attitude, with Buffet music playing is the atmosphere here.  The décor was inspired by Jimmy Buffet’s favorite waterfront concerts, and its 3 bars were themed to Buffet fans.  The Volcano Bar, the Land Shark Bar, and the 12 Volt Bar are all themed around Jimmy Buffett songs. The Volcano Bar is a fan favorite, complete with a giant exploding volcano that erupts periodically. Guess what is erupts with?  Margaritas, of course!

Along with the many varieties of award-winning margaritas and frozen concoctions, the menu features a combination of Caribbean and Key West cuisine.  Offerings include Conch Fritters, Jamaica Mistaica Wings, Corn and Crab Chowder, Bayou Shrimp Pasta, Jimmy’s Jammin’ Jambalaya, Calypso Mahi Mahi, Key Lime Pie, and, of course, the extremely popular Cheeseburger in Paradise®.  Click here for menu.

There are plenty of seating options – inside, outside, balcony, bar. The staff is friendly, the service and food good, and the staff is great about allowing healthier substitutions for things like French fries.  Right next to Margaritaville is the Lone Palm Airport, featuring Jimmy Buffett’s very own seaplane, the Hemisphere Dancer. This outdoor lounge and tiki bar serves a variety of drinks and quick eats under the wing of the plane.  You can also purchase merchandise at the Smuggler’s Hold store.  You can find Jimmy Buffet books and CDs, as well as hats, apparel, beach bags, magnets, decals, signs and wall hangings.

A few other fun facts: They hold the world record for the largest margarita ever made!  (Wonder how you volunteer to help them drink that.) Also, back in 1999, Radio Margaritaville premiered with the opening of the restaurant.  The show is still broadcast here Wednesday through Sunday.   And while it has been a number of years since Jimmy Buffet himself stopped by, members of the Coral Reefers usually swing through a few times a year.
There is live entertainment nightly starting at 10:00pm with a $7.00 cover charge (includes tax).
