Military Discounts Extend into 2014

Many Orlando theme parks and attractions will continue to offer discounts and free admission tickets to members of our military. When selecting your theme park tickets, be sure to look for, or ask if the park offers, a military discount. Many do, but they are not widely promoted.

Capone's Dinner & Show Military DiscountCapone’s Dinner & Show will continue to offer a military discount to all active and retired military in 2014. This special is perhaps the lowest price offered to any individual. Only a large group discount can beat this price! Ticket cost is only $24.99 plus tax and gratuity. Not only is this price good for the person with a military I.D., Capone’s has also extended it to one guest of the military visitor.

To receive this deal, go to alcapones.com, print out the special coupon and make your reservation by calling 1-800-220-8428. If you do not have access to a printer, mention that you saw the discount online and ask for the military discount. It is just a small way to honor and thank military personnel for their service.

One of the area’s theme parks that will also be extending their military special into 2014 is Legoland Florida. They offer FREE admission tickets to active members of the military. Friends and family of military personnel can receive a discount on admission ticket when purchased through their military-based ticket office.

Legoland FloridaSpeaking of Legoland, construction continues on the 152-room hotel being build just outside the theme park’s entrance. You’ll have to wait until 2015, however, to stay there. “The opening of a Legoland Hotel will transition Legoland Florida from a single-day visit theme park to a multi-day resort destination,” said Adrian Jones, general manager of Legoland Florida.

If you are currently serving our country and are on leave or are retired, be sure to look into the many military discounts available in the Orlando/Kissimmee area. There are also lodging discounts, airboat tours, golf packages and more available. Check out www.ExperienceKissimmee.com. You deserve a hero’s treatment for the selfless service provided every day for our country.
