The Great American Pie Festival

For the tenth year in a row, the town of Celebration, Florida will become the Pie Capital of the World this weekend, April 9th and 10th when thousands of pie lovers, tasters and bakers gather together for the Great American Pie Festival. Sponsored by Crisco®, the highlight, as always, will be the Never-Ending Pie Buffet, featuring award-winning pie, ice cream, toppings and beverages. Yummy!

Children can make their own pies and can join in the pie decorating, pie scaping, pie tin art and many other pie activities. Adults will enjoy the featured entertainment and baking demonstrations by chefs from across the country. Of course, no pie festival would be complete without a Pie Eating Contest. So join in! Have some delicious pie!

If you are a pie lover, you’ll be treated to sweet offerings by Bakers Square Restaurants and Pies, Bonert’s Slice of Pie, California Raisin Marketing Board, J. Horner’s Desserts, Kroger’s Private Selection, Publix Super Markets, Inc., Rocky Mountain Pies, Smucker’s Toppings, The Folger Coffee Company, Village Inn and Wick’s Pies. Many vendors will be on-site too offering their products, recipes and more. Admission is free, although there will be a cost to enjoy the pie buffet.

Lakeside Park in Celebration, Florida is just down the road from Capone’s Dinner and Show. So once you fill up on your pie, come on down and see our show. Mama Capone will make an exception for you, having your dessert BEFORE she serves up supper! Be sure to check out our new menu. Although we don’t serve pie, we do offer up a great selection of hot Italian/American favorites! If you haven’t had your fill of sweets from the Pie Festival, we’ll serve up a surgery sweet surprise of our own at the end of dinner service. Too much sugar? I don’t think so!!!
