Holidays offer families and corporations an opportunity to get out and do something fun together. Central Florida has no shortage of opportunities. If you live here, get out to the area theme parks during the week. The weekends are crazy busy with tourists, however, it is always fun to experience the hustle and bustle of festivities, so go when you can.

Central Florida attractions do more in the way of Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa than most Orlando dinner shows. There are more decorations, specially themed parades and character parties. The primary attractions go ‘all in’ for the Winter break, knowing the crowds are coming. Universal has a special page on their website for their holiday events. Disney has dedicated the same for their special event Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. SeaWorld’s “Christmas Celebration Where the Season Meets the Sea” is spectacular with holiday shows, ice skating and more.

All but one Orlando dinner show seems to be lacking in the holiday spirit. Guess which one? Yes, you’re right! Capone’s Dinner & Show has really gotten into the holiday spirit! Capone’s can be classified as not only an Orlando dinner show, but a Central Florida attraction and a Kissimmee restaurant as well. This may be due to it being a one-of-a-kind attraction/dinner show and not a chain (like Medieval Times or Pirates).

Capone's Orlando Dinner Show is in the holiday spirit.

While Medieval Times offers a Spirit of the Season special offer for groups, Pirates only mentions briefly a holiday offer (see banner graphic below). Their California location has a special show “Pirates Take Christmas” that includes Santa and a new traditional holiday feast. Too bad their Orlando counterpart does not have the same show. Treasure Tavern, Sleuths, Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show and Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show do not mention any Christmas or holiday specials on their websites (at this time, but come on, it is after Thanksgiving). It is business as usual at these Orlando dinner shows. I guess you have to bring your own holiday spirit.

Unlike the other bah hum bug dinner shows, Capone’s not only offers a special group package for the holidays, they also offer individuals and smaller families a special offer. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, their buffet is filled with a traditional holiday meal. They also blast out gifts every evening during their new show’s gangster shoot out. Even on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Capone’s Dinner & Show offers each party a present – on top of the half off ticket coupon! They also are promoting their New Year’s Eve Gala. Get your tickets early for that event!

If you are planning to take in the Central Florida attractions this holiday season, be sure to save a night for Capone’s Dinner & Show. They’re all spiffied up for your visit. If you choose not to fight the crowds at the theme parks, but still want to do something fun, go to Capone’s. It is an evening of ‘dinnertainment’ that is hard to beat. December is here, the holidays are upon us. Have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a cozy Kwanzaa!
