Disney may have the jump on the other Orlando theme parks when it comes to starting off the holiday season, but SeaWorld isn’t far behind. SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration® begins November 23rd and runs through December 31st. This year SeaWorld invites guests to “Join Us Where the Season Meets the Sea.”

Before the holiday celebration gets started, however, SeaWorld is opening a photo contest beginning November 11th. The 50th Celebration Photo Contest encourages guests who have attended SeaWorld in the past five decades to share their favorite snap shot with the rest of the world. Photographs will be collected through December 6th, so hurry and enter your amazing memory for a chance to win a trip to San Diego for the grand opening of the 50th Celebration on March 21, 2014. All of your expenses will be paid, so what are you waiting for? Surely you have a memory or two you’d like to share!

Christmas at SeaWorld

With plenty of water at this Orlando attraction, SeaWorld hopes that waves of holiday spirit will splash over you during their holiday specials and festivities. Many of the holiday special features are included with regular admission, however a few are offered at an additional fee. From Santa to Shamu®, you’ll find plenty of holiday cheer at this theme park! The sea lion show tends to be an adult favorite, while Elmo will steal your child’s heart with Grover, Cookie Monster and friends. The sparkling Sea of Trees can be seen from several vantage points within the park, and at night, the light show is spectacular! The nighttime holiday show featuring Shamu® is thrilling, set to seasonal music. Another show with lots of music is O Wondrous Night – a 30-minute show based upon The Christmas Story filled with live animals and puppets. If you enjoy ice skating, you’ll be dazzled with SeaWorld’s show-stopping ice skating extravaganza. Fountains of water dance on the lake as fireworks light up the sky following the skater’s breathtaking performance. Want to meet Santa Claus? Climb aboard the Polar Express and magically visit the North Pole. You can even enjoy Santa’s Fireside feast (additional cost), an exclusive dinner featuring an all-you-care-to-eat menu of holiday favorites and delicious desserts.

If you want a dinner show buffet, consider visiting Capone’s Dinner & Show. The “jolly fellow” won’t be there, but plenty of wise guys and gals will keep your belly jiggling with laughter. This is one halarious dinner show, offered at an incredible price! Capone’s holiday show begins on Thanksgiving Day.

Other services at SeaWorld’s Christmas celebration which will require an additional fee include reserved seating during select shows (*) and front of the line access to the Polar Express Experience. Prices start at $29.00/guest for ages 3 and up. Discounts are available for certain Pass Members.
