Purchasing holiday gifts can certainly put a dint in your budget, especially if you have kids. If you are looking for an inexpensive afternoon or evening out, check out the 3rd Annual Santa’s Winter Wonderland and Village at Waterford Lakes Town Center. They offer free parking, free admission and free entertainment.  With a lot of great shopping in the area too!

This annual winter festival celebrating Christmas and the holiday season, includes Santa’s Workshop, holiday foods, unique European amusement rides decorated for the Christmas season, thousands of Christmas lights and hundreds of holiday displays. Here are some other highlights:

  • Children can visit Santa in his Workshop daily through December 23 (certain times).
  • Steel drums by “Splash” will perform seasonal music at Main Gate on select Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through December 18 (certain times).The Timber Creek Christmas Band will perform on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through December 18 (certain times).
  • Mariachi Tapatio will perform on Friday, December 30, through Monday, January 2 (certain times).
  • Joshua Moonshine, Performance Artist Trance Paint, will perform daily (certain times).
  • Bonanza Shooting Gallery and other family-friendly games and fair-type food concessions (no alcohol allowed or served).
  • Caricature artist.
  • Joyful holiday music played throughout Santa’s Workshop and Village.
  • Thousands of Christmas lights and hundreds of holiday displays.
  • 19 Christmas-themed midway rides from around the world

Every afternoon through December 31st the party starts up and the celebration begins. Your children will love the carnival rides, and having their photo taken with the mascots. Santa will also be available for photos on a limited basis (nominal fee). Purchase a daily wristband or fun card for the best value on the rides.

  • Daily Wristband: $15 for unlimited mechanical rides (all rides are subject to manufacturer’s height, age and weight restrictions).
  • Daily “FunCard”: Ride tickets are $1 each. All rides require 3 or more tickets per rider. The best “FunCard” offer is 40 tickets for $30.
  • Toys for Tots: Receive a “FunCard” with 2 free rides for every toy dropped off at Santa’s Workshop during hours of operation through December 15.
