All of the Orlando theme parks are lovely to visit during the holidays. I sometimes wonder if SeaWorld in Orlando is overlooked by many tourists. With limited days to stay in the Central Florida area, they just might be missing out! While you can easily purchase multi-day passes at the other Orlando area attractions and spend the entire day at each, SeaWorld is definitely a must-do for a day. If you figure in their sister parks, Busch Gardens and Aquatica, you’re looking at a multi-day pass again. However, if one day just isn’t enough SeaWorld for you, then now is the time to go!

SeaWorld is offering discounted admission as a special Christmas gift to guests. The SeaWorld Fun Card allows visitors to pay for one day admission and enjoy the park as many times as the want to until 2012. The Kids Free promotion invites every child into the park for free with each full paid adult ticket. The Kids Free offer is available until December 25.

December 25 is also when the “25 Days of Giveaways” ends. During the promotion, a different prize will be awarded every day, culminating with a $25,000 giveaway on Christmas Day. Guests that enter can win behind-the-scenes animal adventures at SeaWorld and Busch Gardens; a day of relaxation for four at Discovery Cove in Orlando; a set of Panama Jack beach bicycles; a home and garden makeover from Costa Farms; VIP tickets to a Tampa Bay Buccaneers home game; VIP tickets to a high-profile concert in San Diego; and seats to the “Live On Letterman” concert series held in New York City. To enter, fill out the online entry form at seaworldpromotions.com. There is a limit of one online entry per valid e-mail address per day.

SeaWorld nativity show
During the holidays SeaWorld puts on quite the shows. A new show this year in the Nautilus theater, “O Wondrous Night: The Greatest Story Never Told” is the nativity story, told with gospel-style choir singing, a host of angels and animals and a cast of puppets/puppeteers. It should help all of us remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Other shows include:

  • “Winter Wonderland on Ice”
  • “Shamu Christmas….Miracles”
  • “Clyde and Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas”
  • “A Sesame Street Christmas”
  • “The Polar Express Experience”
  • A Christmas Market located on Bayside Pathway
  • “Sea of Trees” along SeaWorld’s Center Lake
  • “Holiday Reflections: Fireworks and Fountains Finale”

You may also want to check out SeaWorld’s dinner show, the “Makahiki Christmas Luau.” It is a special ticket dinner show that includes a holiday buffet and a Polynesian celebration of the season. SeaWorld is also offering a special dining option, “Santa’s Fireside Feast” in which Santa and Mrs. Claus perform a classic holiday poem onstage while you dine.

Of course the gang at Capone’s Dinner & Show hope you will save a night for our special holiday dinner show. It is an affordable option (half price when you purchase tickets online) that can be reserved any night of the week. SeaWorld may have Clyde and Seamore, but Al, Bugs and the rest of ‘the family’ sure do put on a great show! With the dinner buffet and unlimited drinks, it is the best value of all the dinner shows in Orlando.

Enjoy SeaWorld Orlando this holiday season, and make sure you save a night for Capone’s Dinner & Show. Holidays are a great time to get out and enjoy all this area has to offer. It is a merry time to be visiting – and be a resident – in Central Florida.
